Muscle is heavier than fat. Ditch the scale and start using a measuring tape to chart your progress.

Change your shoes. Get an athletic insole. I started by walking, and it killed my lower back. Got new sneakers - boom, pain went away completely.

I exercise to manage and prevent depression. I agree that going for a walk outside - which is fantastic exercise - when you can't drag yourself to the gym can be really helpful. You can pat yourself on the back for self care when you do it.

Stop using the app for a while. It's the same as when you get obsessed with the numbers on the scale, stop weighing yourself until you can handle it again.

It's hard to break that black and white mentality, that it's all or nothing. Little changes lead to new habits. Radical changes lead to revolts, and right back to square one. Btw, Taco Bell isn't actually that bad. It's just calorie dense food, so drink some water before you start eating to balance out the volume in your…

It Fantastic. Go see it. Highly recommend it.

Carb up. You'll have a temporary gain, because of water retention, but then it will reset your system and you'll lose more in the long run. So long as you don't do that every day you'll be just fine.

I double check the entry the first time I use it and then select from the list of foods that I've already entered going forward to make sure I've got the right figures.

I'm the opposite - I halfass it at home. Do whatever works for you!

I'm completing C210K in 3 weeks, I don't have a race scheduled, but what I've decided to do is, add a run day each week. Kind of mad, but whatever. Fits my schedule better. On Monday, Tues, and Thurs I will run for 60 minutes, speed and distance don't matter. Saturdays I will go on distance runs, and ignore the time. My…

When I tried using prepackaged food to limit volume, and they were stacked in my refrigerator, I ended up eating a couple at a time. Totally backfired on me. Adjust the recipe and cook your meals as needed from scratch.

Just do it. Read up on it so you have a general idea. Cook from scratch. Stop eating "white foods" and track your macros. Under 20 grams net carbs per day. Look for one ingredient foods (combine them when you cook) and eat what tastes good to you. You've got to get your electrolytes in - that's what keto flu is, an…

Add protein powder to your oatmeal to bulk it up.

Might be overstepping my bounds here. I'm sorry if I am. "The point" is that you've figured out how to make goals and reach them. No, nothing is going to just fall into place in anyone's life. But now you know what you do to make your life better. You know how to identify changes you want to make, how to set goals for…

What you can do is adjust your view so that the carbs and fiber are listed right next to each other so it's a simple calculation to find net carbs. First, go to My Home. Then click on Settings. Select Food and Exercise Diary Settings. The first section is Nutrients Tracked, which you can change to what you want to see when…

I do both. I run in the mornings (because it's cool) 3 days a week and workout at the gym at night 6 days a week.

2 weeks down. How y'all holding up?

Did my first C210K session today - a 40 minute run. Not a problem. I though the mental thing would get me, because 30 -> 40 minutes seemed like an awful big jump. Look at my first post in this thread. I was dying. I was spending longer huffing and puffing afterward, trying to recover, than my entire run/walk session. This…

I wouldn't restrict. It's harder to be kind to yourself rather than punish yourself. What would you say if a friend did it? "No big deal, new day today, put it behind you." Right? Plus there's evidence that having a 'cheat meal' resets your body and helps you lose more in the long run. What matters most is you don't let it…

That's cute!

I just finished C25K and believe it or not, even though I was dying the first few weeks, by the end it was a piece of cake. I start C210K Monday and it will only be 6 weeks to go from running for 30 minutes to running 60 minutes, and I'm absolutely confident I'll be able to do it now. Keep it slow. Remember to breath down,…

Work on breathing. You want to breath with your belly. Practice by lying down and watch your stomach. You want to pull your diaphragm down and your belly will pop up. Don't breath with your upper chest. Sing and breath down into your belly - that will help strengthen your muscles so you can control your breathing better.
