Look up "whooshes and squishy fat" - it explains why there are plateaus and will help you not worry about them.

These are good tips. Thank you!

Definitely run when it's cool! I am not a morning exerciser, but I set my alarm in order to do early morning cool runs. If I wait even a couple hours when the temp is around 80 it's twice as hard for me to run. Good luck! It's easier than you think, it really is.

Definitely not. Instead, it's made me really look at what I eat to see if it's "worth it." For instance, do you realize how tasteless pasta is? No flavor at all. What's good about it is the sauce. Well, put the sauce on something else that tastes good, bingo, you've got something great.

W5D3 20 minute run piece of cake I found myself slowing down twice - once near the middle and once near the end - but recognized it within a couple of steps and corrected my pace back up.

I do keto and aim for a 2 pounds a week loss. If I go over that, I up my calories. I want to be healthy, not obsess over a number like it has something to do with my worth as a person. Maybe chuck your scale for a bit if "the number" is all you're focused on until you can regain your perspective.

W5D2 done 2 8 minute runs - piece of cake. But today I ran in a tank top and got some skin irritation on my upper inner arms. That's annoying. Note to self - always run in a t-shirt...

I think I have a different plan than all of you. My week 4 was alternating 3 and 5 minute runs. My week 5 is where it really ramps up and ends with a 20 minute run.

The one that's most conveniently located to you so you'll actually use it.

I was dating someone who went all the time, and then I sort of moseyed over myself. I kept going because it positively affected my mental health, even more than my physical health. I hate - and I mean hate - exercising. Hate going to the gym where I think people are judging me. Hate all of it. So I figured out precisely…

I made scrambled eggs with spinach. Frozen spinach. Got the ratio all wrong. Disgusting.

I do that once a year - Thanksgiving. Definitely not once a week.

What helped me was doing a 30 day exercise challenge that had no days off. It really got me to have the mentality that I work toward this every single day.
-
W5D1 done. Had a little glitch today - my phone died half way through. So I ran the whole way home. No idea what my times/figures were, but it was more than scheduled running, so I'm checking today off.

Could be inflammation.

Probably put on some muscle even if you didn't notice it. I definitely had more muscle definition over the month.

Day 30 done. Over the past month I have lost 7 pounds.

Find something you think is fun. Zumba or swimming or walking the dog. Something like that.

Day 29 done. I'm so ready for this to be over. lol

Traditional keto is 5% carbs, 20% protein, 75% fat, no more than 20 net grams of carbs daily. The percents are by calories, not weight. What people don't talk about is that you also have to stay in a calorie deficit to lose weight. If you're starting - keto flu is the real deal. A lot of the problem is dehydration and too…

Day 28 done.

Did W4D3. Legs were no problem at all. I wasn't breathing deeply though, so my lungs were overworked for a little bit in the middle there until I concentrated on it and got it correct again.
-
I always went for Wendy's chili if I got in a jam.

Day 27 done. Notice it's taking me longer and longer to get around to doing it? lol

Day 26 done.

What are you drinking? Those calories count you know.

W4D2 done. It was much better than Monday's session. No huffing and puffing for breath when I was done. Though today there was 95% humidity and I was sweating as soon as I stepped out the door, so I wouldn't exactly call the session comfortable...

It will suck - for less than a week if you go cold turkey. To make it easier drink a lot of water and replace your salt and electrolytes. Powerade Zero was a lifesaver the first week. Good luck!

Day 25 done.
