  • By pictures, people say I look skinnier than I say I weigh. When I was 285 lbs, people usually guessed 240-260s. I've always looked really heavy though, unless I'm just well proportioned in clothes.
  • If your breasts are large naturally, they shouldn't decrease much. I've lost 50+ pounds, but only lost two inches from my bust and my cup size hasn't gone anywhere either. If your breasts are caused by you being overweight, then more than likely they'd be lost, and I don't think there's anything going to stop it.
  • Thank you everyone for the compliments and congrats! I'm so very happy. :D
  • I like turkey bacon. I eat it over actual bacon. It's call turkey "bacon" because it looks like bacon and it's meant to be a healthier replacement for actual bacon. I love real bacon too, but the calories aren't worth it.
  • You should never tell your girl that she's gaining weight. Like everyone has said, she probably already knows. And if she does nothing about it, more than likely, she just doesn't care. It's her body, let her decide what to do with it. Now if it becomes a huge health-related concern, you tell them you're worried about…
  • I've lost almost 20lbs, and I've lost only a few inches in different places. Losing a few inches in normal. Some people lose a lot of inches but little weight because they're toning their body, which is putting on muscle. Pictures can usually show a difference. I can't when I just look at myself, but pictures and clothes…
  • The Devil You Know by Liz Carlyle. I've never read a romance novel before, and I saw it at my mom's friend's house, so I borrowed it and decided to try it.
  • I went to get on a ride at the boardwalk, and the guys working the ride had to try to get the bars down over me and clicked before the ride could start. Everyone else was already fastened and waiting, and watching.
  • I've found my Polar HRM is much higher (by maybe 100 calories, sometimes more) than the exercise machines I use, but about 50 calories less than what MFP tells me. It really depends how hard you work!
  • Perhaps just over the overweight line, but you're not morbidly obese. I want to lose 125lbs, and my BMI will still be in the overweight section. I am morbidly obese.
  • I agree with this! You really look younger in the last two pictures. Congrats on your success!
  • Swimming is a sport. It's not based on judging, it's based on speed. I don't know if I'd count diving as a sport, even if it isn't easy, but gymnastics? You need to be perfect at it or you're screwed. How can you say something based on judging isn't a sport? =/ All other sports are based on something. Whether it be speed,…

  • Mean people do suck, but you know, you should appreciate your fiance being willing to tell you the truth and not keep something from you. Especially when someone had something rude to say. It's true that if someone is talking behind your back and you don't hear it, you don't know it, so it doesn't bother you...but…
  • I've been eating McDonald's almost everyday, or some sort of fast food. I'm bouncing all over the place, and I'm not living in one place at the moment. I stay in one place one night, and another the next. And with staying on the road, it's hard to cook at home. But I manage to fit it into my day. I've been very careful…

  • What your husband does can be considered abuse, because whether he's joking or not, it sounds like he's trying to put you down because of your weight. That's emotional abuse. Weight has done nothing to my relationship. He supports my weight loss, and he has no problems if I were to decide to not lose weight.
  • Can't help if you don't say which ones. Typically though, a search engine or Urban Dictionary will help.
  • I track everyday. If I don't know the cals, I look up average cals for it, and rpund it out. But on occasion, I have stopped tracking due to being unable to figure out cals.
  • I know how it feels, but your don't need to go to a gym to work out. If you can afford a gym membership (I don't know if your gym is free, but none of mine are, and they aren't cheap), you can spare some money for some weights for home.
  • I wouldn't do my hair up fancy, but I'd probably wear a little bit of eyeliner and lip-gloss. I'm self-conscious most of the time, and I'd especially be around these fit people, and wearing make-up makes me feel better. It's just a personal thing. However, if they're going to the gym all dolled up and not even making an…
  • I don't feel like reading an article, but I've heard similar before, someone asked for my opinion because of their paper they had to write about whether or not overweight people should get handicap tags. Look, I'm fat. There's no way I can deny that. And yeah, sometimes my weight causes my body to ache. But I have two…
  • I'm nearing 20lbs down, and while I've seen the scale move, the inches go down, and my pants are looser, I fit in a size smaller (two sizes depending on brand), I really don't see too much of a difference in the mirror. But if you have a lot to lose, then it'll probably take a decent amount of weight to be able to really…
  • My upper arms are huge, and while I'm watching inches go from other places, but arms are hanging in there. But a lot of my work outs involve leg movement...so I suppose it's not surprising that it's my thighs, hips, and waist that are losing, but my bust and arms are staying the same... Maybe you could try adding in weight…
  • I made these, and they were really good.
  • I 100% agree with you, and that's one of the many reasons why the ONLY reason I'm still on MFP, is because the food and exercise tracker has helped me a lot so far.
  • I weigh myself only once a week. After a while, you get impatient to see results, so it's tempting to go at it more than once. But I remind myself that if I weigh myself everyday, I'm only looking to disappoint myself and then I'll eventually feel bad for eating at all. So I stick to one week, my weigh-in day being Friday.…
  • I don't allow myself a cheat day, because if I go over, I just feel bleh. When I go over, I usually hit some equipment and work it off. I would accept a cheat day if it were a special occasion, like a date, Holiday, birthday. But not an every week thing. I already eat stuff I normally would, just less of it. No reason to…

  • I'm not sure how telling someone how much you've lost is something to be embarrassed about. Telling someone your exact weight might, which is why I tell people how much I want to lose, but not what my goal weight is. Least not people who don't know how much I weigh. But I'll gladly tell people, I've lost 16 pounds so far,…
  • I was born a blonde, but I have red-heads in my family. I dyed my hair red for about two years.
