Hi I'm getting started on TWD. Want to be friends!?

I'd like to know the TRUTH behind that body. Did she get ANY help....more than most "normal" people on average annual incomes? Or...did she have a personal trainer, and some major child care assistance (i.e., a nanny or two) AND did she perhaps have any plastic surgery?? I mean, if she is going to flaunt her body and taunt…

Yay!! I love this post!! :) Thanks for telling it like it is! So now, I may even try to friend you. If you will have me. :) I will understand if you're just maxed on friend, though. Cheers!!

Yes. Congrats!! It's been awesome to walk along side you on this journey. :) You're a constant inspiration. *high five*

Thanks, Alienrite, for this post, and the info about your HRM. I am going to try the same thing! - Heather

I like this. I think you're right. I don't believe it when anyone says "I can't lose weight" or "It doesn't work." I know better than that, now.

Lost 3+ pounds since Thursday (Thanksgiving). I need to hustle my bustle and stop going over my calorie limit (1330) and also burn even more if I plan to get to ~157 by Xmas. :)

I am going to do the "Fat Smash" diet, at least the first 9 days, starting today. I've already eaten just plain oatmeal and half a dried banana. Here's a copy of the diet plan, taken directly from this site, Peer Trainer: http://www.peertrainer.com/diet/fat_smash_diet.htm The Fat Smash Diet is a diet created by Dr. Ian K.…

Hello. I'm Heather. I'm 36, and my current weight is 170 (but my weight the day before Thanksgiving was 167!) so my goal weight for Christmas is -- oh, let's say -- 157. (I just gained about 3 pounds from Thanksgiving) I am very motivated to reverse that problem and lose 10 pounds by the next holiday. It is very ambitious…

Hello. I just gained about 3 pounds from Thanksgiving, so I am very motivated to reverse that problem and lose 10 pounds by the next holiday. It is very ambitious -- but I have done it before, I can do it again. I am going to try the "Fat Smash" diet again -- it's worked for me in the past. It's usually a great kick start…

This is interesting, so I will post mine: I am 5' 5" (actually 5' 5.5") and currently 171; size 14 in jeans. Usually.

Many are saying it's best to get a HRM. So what are the reviews on brands/models? Any suggestions? I'm just checking REI, for instance. There are many on the market... http://www.rei.com/search?cat=4500567&jxTracks+calories+burned=Tracks+calories+burned

Sounds like you're doing just fine. There is a strong movement for people to love themselves as they are, and that is all good, as well. But, if you know you want to be healthier, and get in better shape, so you feel like you're "well," then that is what you should do, for yourself! I think maybe the negative response you…

Wow, dancngdolfn, good for you!

That's amazing! I think this site is great because of its simplicity. calories in + calories out (burned) = weight loss (or control), if you're watching it and sticking to it. It's pretty straight forward.

Awesome! Thanks! *added* Hey, I see you are from Bend? I was born in Bend -- moved away about 17 years ago. I was pretty fit when I lived there, (as a 17-19 year old!) especially with Pilot Butte and so many easy-access walking & fitness trails. Nice to meet you!

\ Awesome, thanks! *added*

Add me?! I have not added any friends yet. You'd be a good kick-off friend....I have about 30-40 pounds to lose. Cheers!

Yay!! Awesome. Good for YOU! Very inspiring. :) Thank you for sharing...:flowerforyou:

I am posting my answers again. Not that anyone will notice. :) People LOVE drama. I have a few reasons. First, I'll give you a bit of background: For the majority of my life, until I was 25, I ate anything and everything, and that meant a LOT of McD's, Dairy Queen, Taco Bell, Wendy's, etc. etc., and yes a lot of…

Thanks for your response. It echoes a lot of what I said too, I believe. (And it's nice to see someone that is NOT caught in this little battle of sass.)

Geesh. Didn't realize I was posting my post in the middle of an argument. Ah -- forums. So fun. I did read some of the above argument - which I think is getting quite immature and non-respectful. I have to point out: saying that not eating meat for no reason is 'ridiculous' is really judgmental, not to mention rude. What…

I have a few reasons. First, I'll give you a bit of background: For the majority of my life, until I was 25, I ate anything and everything, and that meant a LOT of McD's, Dairy Queen, Taco Bell, Wendy's, etc. etc., and yes a lot of cheeseburgers. Then, I became vegan, actually, first raw-foodist, then a vegan, and with…
