Take baby steps, don't make drastic changes you won't be able to keep up for the long haul. 5' 11" 41 yo currently, started at 250+ (too embarrased to actually weigh myself). i am currently 195. my belly is in it's final stages of deflation. I had a huge gut, the first 10 lbs showed nice progress.

Take small simple steps that you can stick with, rather than making big drastic changes that you won't be able to stick with. If you don't do any exercise, start with walking 10 minutes a day 3/4 times a week...build up to an hour at a time. If you drink soda, cut it down to the weekends or something you can stick with.…

It's funny you would mention that....several women at work asked me what i did to lose weight...what the secret is...when i tell them diet and exercise, they look at me like i had two heads....Like you should be able to lose weight by eating chai rasberry ketone yogurt or some pill or something.

I have a miata. Both of my butt cheeks fit IN the seat now. I used to have to drive with my left butt cheek on the thigh bolster.

Doctors don't always know what's up. My doctor said losing 50lbs in 18 months was "too fast"..I said...ummmm...okay. That's an average of less than 3 lbs a month....

If you aren't hungry, don't eat the exercise calories, and especially don't eat cookies or what not.

You have bigger problems. You aren't eating enough calories (assuming you filled in your info correctly).

Don't drink at all. Have some good tasting water like Pellegrino with lemon or something. Beer is one of the first things I cut out...look at my ticker..i stopped drinking beer, and BAM, weight loss...alcohol is poison in more ways than one.

Get a heavy duty model like you might find in a gym. I tried all kinds of cardio machines (all kinds) at the gym, and the elliptical seems to work best for me. But honestly, I hate doing the stupid machine..it's boring. I bought a super expensive bike (expensive for me anyway, about $700)...it's aluminum and carbon…

My weight loss hasn't been linear, it seems like I lose weight in "waves"...my fat feels more watery, and hangs a little, and doesn't feel as hard when I'm about to lose some weight, and then BAM, it's gone, my skin tighens up a little after 2 weeks, and on to the next wave. Patience grasshopper.
