Good work. My go to food is grilled chicken and salad..lots of different varieties to be found.
-
Damn dude...you even look like you lost 3/4 years of age. I'm surprised the pants still fit...good work!

I haven't given up coffee with sugar in the mornings...nor do I have any plans of ever giving up coffee with sugar. It's something I incorporate into my diet. I am sure my weight loss would be a lot harder and faster without my sugary coffee fixes three or four times a day, but it ain't happening. Sometimes I cut back on…

YEAH BOIEEEE...plan for that pig out meal...A cheat meal a week helps me stay sane...and it won't affect your overall plans if you are really sticking to your plan the rest of the week. Cheat meals should be incorporated into everyone's diet plans.

Detroit booty music like DJ Assault, lots of disco music, some metal...anything with a fast beat to make me nervous
-
Baby steps...like everyone else said, start slow. i would start with plain old walking. If you are really unfit, a little bit of walking will make a big difference.

I've never been diagnosed with depression, so I can't say I know what you are going through...but...after working out and doing cardio for over a year, i can tell you without a doubt, that when I lift weights in the morning, I feel pretty damn good the rest of the day for some reason...Cardio sometimes has the effect, but…

That sounds pretty aggressive. If you didn't meet your two month goal, would you throw away your long term plans? That's the danger of an aggressive goal. How about shooting for 8-10 lbs?

The elliptical is the only cardio I use at the gym...It worked for my me. I was too chubby to comfortably use the treadmill when I started at the gym, so I used the elliptical, and I've been happy with it. I think it's a great cardio machine. The best cardio, however, in my opinion, is my Fuji Absolute 1.4 bicycle which I…

All scales are off somewhat. Good luck on your journey.

mozilla firefox + adbuster = no ads:bigsmile:

What keeps me on my plan? I enjoy walking a block without having to stop three or four times to catch my breath more than I enjoyed that soda. I like it that I'm comfortable in 80F + weather without getting all sweaty and uncomfortable. I like it That I don't feel my *kitten* cheeks hanging over the sides of the toilet…

This thread is worthless without pics!!!

Alright...when do we get to start bashing the mofos that start crowding the gym right before summer?
-
This is another good reason to go at 3:30AM....Just wish it wasn't so damn cold.
-
Yes. And I'm a man which makes it worse...weaing gloves, cranking the heat up....I knew I was doing it right when it was 95F one day in October, and I thought it was "comfy"...and I wasn't sweating.
-
I look for t shirts, shorts and underwear made of that dri weave fabric, or whatever it's called...the stuff that soaks up sweat. I used to use plain old cotton stuff, but if you don't wash it immediately it will STINK, and then you can't get the odor out. Usually Walmart marks stuff down to five bucks at then of it's…

And the price is very reasonable!

Good thread...made me dig out the good ol Body Fortress Choclate out of the cupboard, mix it with some dreyers coffee ice cream, mix and enjoy....AHHH
-
I LOVE bananas...I used to scarf down the whole bunch as soon as it hit the table when I was a kid...so much so that my dad and sister started calling me "MONKEY"...But I have gotten over the trauma, and now I chop one up and put it in my oatmeal for breakfast...AHHHHH good eating man.
-
I used to use the cheap *kitten* body fortress you can get at walmart...I still have half a tub taking up space in the pantry. If your diet is complete, I don't think you need it. I talk to other dudes, and they say they are more swoll, or they recover faster or whatever, but I didn't really notice any effects.

I used to live in Canton, but when I realized Mi sucks, I left for LA

I use dumb bells...The elbow has to make an awkward, un natural sweep when doing the bench press...it hurt my left elbow, so I've just done dumb bells. When you are done, you just let them drop on the floor.

WHOA....WHOA...WHOA....settle down a little bit...trying to lose 60lbs in 3 months will only result in a disaster, discouragement, not reaching your goals, getting discouraged, saying to hell with it, and going back to your old habits. You didn't get to where you are in three months, and you won't get where you want to be…

After, so your body can use your stored fat as fuel, instead of the food you just consumed.

"teenage boys"....That about sums it up. I was much fatter about a year ago, but I'm also tall, and wide shoulders, so I really didn't / don't get any sort of comments because of the fear that i'd pound them. I was conscious of people looking at me when I was bigger, which was probably a reason why I waited so many years…

When I was chubbier, I didn't like the treadmill because it hurt my knees, so I switched to the elliptical, and it burns a ton of calories, with no knee discomfort. I bought my gym membership in Sept 2011, and I was determined to NOT waste my money by not going, so I went....weird motivator, huh? But it has worked. You…

I didn't keep good records, but I lost no less than 40 lbs, and my body looks like it's someone else's now. The ladies at work ask me what my "secret is"...and when I tell them I don't eat McDonalds, I track my meals, and I exercise, and then their faces get a little sad, lol...The secret is...there is no secret.

Please don't take these things. It will take longer if you eat sensibly, and exercise a little, but doing things the hard way will lead to changes that you can sustain for life.
