I didn't have time to report back here, but I sure took the time to run! I passed the 25 miles mark for May on yesterday's run, crushing my 23 miles objective. I guess I'll see you all next month with a higher goal!
-
1 down, 22 to go
-
I'm down! I just got back to it, so my goal for May is 23 miles, which would raise my average distance from April by 100 meters, from 0,93 miles to 0,99 miles (1,5 km to 1,6 km), as per my Nike+ program. [/url]

It seems this thread is still being used so my new Nike+ username is: LeRoadRunner I can't delete my previous post, and I had to create a new Nike+ account to reset my stats. Feel free to add me!

The weekly average is more important that a single day. Obviously don't go on a 1500 calorie deficit today, but perhaps aim for 300 calories less for the next few days.

Dominican Republic, and how much I need a vacation

This article sums it up very well, although you don't have to buy multiple pairs like they say: webmd.com/fitness-exercise/how-to-buy-running-shoes-tips-to-treat-your-feet-right The most important points are: 1- Determine your arch height (flat, medium or high), which you can determine by leaving a wet footprint on a dry…

I'm still in! I'm starting week 3 tomorrow, I do it 6 times per week, and I seem to be losing weight much faster than on 30DS.
-
Weel done! As long as you give everything you have and keep being motivated by the progress you make, you'll get through it and get results. Congrats!

You shouldn't net below your BMR as it's the minimum amount of calories your body needs to function. Once you add the amount of energy you burn moving and working out, that gives you your TDEE. The TDEE is what you want to create a deficit on. This seems controversial as some will tell you they are constantly below BMR,…

LOL! Bring it! I did it without days off, but I know that many people took a day off and got good results. I'm currently doing Ripped in 30 which is somewhat of a follow-up, and she says to do it 5 or 6 days a week and take a day off. The best thing is to listen to your body, but she does say over and over that results…

I also added everyone here on Nike+ and MFP. It's great to have more friends on Nike+, and more runners on MFP! Feel free to add me, my Nike+ ID is BenLussier JenniferHebert and jillian2013: these usernames were not found Nike+ is a way to track activity (I think most people use it for running, but it's available for many…

The videos are all on youtube... just search for 30 day shred level 2, and 30 day shred level 3. There's also one that's all 3 levels, it lasts about 90 minutes

There's a product called Body Glide that's made for that purpose. You can find it in running shops and sports stores, and there's one made for women. Regular deodorant also works but doesn't last as long, and vaseline works but it leaves grease stains on clothes. PS: Congrats on your dedication to running, you won't regret…

Great job, congrats!

Congrats on quitting! After 8 days, you're over the hill now. I didn't gain weight when I quit the last time, but I find that the reason why I did on my previous attempts is because I was eating anything, thinking it's still better than smoking. I found a passion for running, so needing better cardio was the best motivator.

I never tried it, and I wouldn't. There was an interesting episode of the Fat2fit podcast about this. You can find it here: http://www.fat2fitradio.com/2008/04/fat-2-fit-show-28-detoxing-your-body/ They give a lot of info, but the long story short is that what comes out after a detox is actually what you put in FOR the…

I'm happy to see this thread is still going! I completed 30DS on the 21st, and started Ripped in 30 on the 23rd. So far so good, I this 30 day shred has prepared me for this. In a way it is... on her podcast Jillian said it was "for shredders ready to take it to the next level."

well done! congratulations!
-
Great progress, and congrats on making it this far! For me the last 7 days were the ones with the most results so hang in there!

I'd join if you make a league

Of course! A paid one with people at work, and a free one on NFL.com

Go for it! There's always a beginner and advanced version of every move, and you can take a 5 seconds break when you need to. You know your limits; push yourself and you'll get results. Plus as you do more of the advanced moves, for longer and while taking less breaks you'll be really proud of yourself!

Good luck to you all! I completed 30DS 2 days ago and started Ripped in 30 today. Stick with it, it's totally worth it. I recommend you take measurements as this is where the biggest difference will be, more so than the scales. Also, the scales will go up and down in the first half, and down steadily in the 2nd half, so I…

Unfortunately you can't always get support form people around you. I get so many eye rolls at home when I explain why I can't eat this or that because it has too much fat or salt in it. At least when progress shows or when old pictures come out it gives me a few days of added support. You have to do it for personal…

Here are my results! I didn't take measurements at the beginning, but in these 30 days I lost 4 pounds and 0.8% body fat. I feel great, I feel stronger and it helped my running workout. I couldn't ask for more.

Today is day 30! Did anyone else complete it?

Wow congrats!
