    Afternoon with my family doc today. (I'm somewhat enamored with this fellow.) As a side complaint, I mentioned how my foot bothered me. He's so much like me, dry, to the point, bluntly states "that's a Mortons neuroma, you need surgery".

    Hmmm, I may just live with it. Any one with experience?
    No experience with that. Straight to surgery? Yikes! Hope you find a way to either relieve it or get through the surgery and recovery quickly.

    Quick internet education says I can find a podiatrist and do alcohol injections to kill the nerve. But I'll wait and see what the MRI shows since its not in the typical spot. Mine is more center of the foot, between the 3rd and 4th metarsals.

    I don't feel that this is currently bothersome enough to dig it out and disrupt my running. Although, coffee and sleeping in for a few weeks sounds lovely.... But cut in to my running addiction? Thought call there.

    @cooter_mom how are you doing?

    We call those shots not injections where I come from. :wink: Sounds painful!

    @isulo_kura - love the picture! What a beautiful spot to run!
    @italysharon - I was fortunate to travel in Italy with my daughter when she was backpacking there. We spent several days in Cinque Terre. It was beautiful with good hiking (I wasn't a runner yet) and the food and wine was unbelievable!
    @ddmom0811 - so awesome to run in Central Park!
    @Elise4270 - hope the MRI comes back with something more treatable! Otherwise you may need to go with @LoneWolfRunner's treatment :) Also good call on the shout out to @cooter_mom. I've been wondering where she ran off to!
    @LoneWolfRunner - @skippygirlsmom is right you are on a roll this week :laugh: must be all that fighting and stress at work!

    I irritated my hip/glute at agility class last night so my race pace run today became more of a slow easy run. I am hoping lots of stretching and rolling and a rest day will make it good as new! Maybe I can get that race pace run in on Thursday. We have an agility competition Friday and Saturday so hopefully I won't mess it up more doing that!

    May - up to the 9th = 7.8 miles.

    It has been a month full of hurdles and unexpected turns. I am finally able to get back to what I hope is consistency. Thank you for all of the advice at the beginning of the month regarding long runs, I am going to try it!

    I didn't have time to report back here, but I sure took the time to run! I passed the 25 miles mark for May on yesterday's run, crushing my 23 miles objective. I guess I'll see you all next month with a higher goal!
