I used to have a piece of pizza when I went to Costco. 680 calories! Now I know it's easy to pass up. It was nice to learn that a protein style cheeseburger at In-n-out only has 330 calories. Yummy!

I love the concept. I've done 2 and it looks like I'm not going to win the 2nd one. I did find it helpful because it did help me lose weight- just not enough. I'm doing strength training as well as cardio so I'm just not losing as fast. I would say join one with a low pay in.

Those soups sound wonderful! You could probably even call on the way so you don't have to scramble to choose which one is best. There are no Culvers in California but I think the soup is usually the healthy option in most restaurants.

I read somewhere that alternating shoes helps when you're dealing with sore shins. Might make sense as you break in your new shoes. I'm no expert but I've never heard of knee pain with shin splints. Maybe check your running form? Visiting a podiatrist sounds like good advice too.

I just looked at your food diary. Your entry for Sargento string cheese says 25 grams of fat when it only has 3 grams of fat. You can eat more fat.

Good for you for getting back on plan! It's so easy to get discouraged and go back to our old eating habits. I love hwc in my coffee. I just figured out it has 1/2 a carb per tablespoon. Labels can be deceptive!
