  • Whole wheat pastas are good for being high calorie but I sabotage myself by getting pasta sauce that is high in sugar.
  • Salsa, black beans, baked chicken, eggs Tropical Smoothie- (forgot what you call it.)
  • Blackberries. I put about 8-10 blackberries in and mash them up. They are my new kick. I also like chopped apples.
  • ^ 100% correct. Once you get back to logging, log everything. Also log your exercise. I never noticed that on there.
  • You have many questions. I would first say it does matter what you eat. Empty calories (high fat), or highly processed foods are a big stumbling block. With your current weight loss goals I would recommend more cardio then weights. You need to be strong but cardio is how you drop weight. You also need to eat at deficit.…
  • I think unless you already know it is the milk that is your kryptonite then you should keep going with it or mix and match with Almond milk if you want different flavors. I drink skim and I think you said you do too. There is a great deal of sugar in the good tasting ones.
  • Well I will give you congrats too! My first job was at Chick-fil-a. I would always get nuggets and fries or something from the food court. Then I went with no sodas and had chicken soup and grilled filets. It so improved my health. Keep bringing food or eating the salads and grilled meats if they have it. Good job!
  • Getting support is a big key to help. I can't say that I have struggled in the aspect that you are dealing with per se'. Posting on the topic boards has allowed me to add friends on MFP to keep me accountable. The support from the online community and discussing this with your friends and family will help. The ultimate…
  • pizza is a food group right? That and apple fritters or Panera's pecan braids. I have cut down well though.
  • I just got some from a friend that sells it. The price is going up soon so do what you want but I am on the fence about reordering.
  • I may end up doing a "work' slot or doing time intevals of 6 hours.
  • You absolutely need to eat more than that if you are doing an hour and a half of work in. I Do imagine at your current weight you may modify many workouts but even then then that can't be enough. Try using the MFP apps to guage where you need to be. Some others can give more detailed info.
  • Yu did not say what you normally so I know what not to mention. I usually do one of these in a rotating manner...raisin nut bran w/skim milk,// three eggs with cheese and hot pace salsa//, chick fila breakfast burrito, quacker plain oatmeal with blackberries or apples.
  • I tend to agree. The good thing is you are disciplined. You did good according to todays diary.
  • According to MFP my BMR is 1700 but because of my lifestyle I need to bring in 2200. I do not know enough about thyroid issues to say your best option but if you are not eating enough your body will maintain the weight because it is tricked into thinking that you need the weight to accomplish your goals.
  • In your "about me" section you mentioned a hyroid issue and another diet issue. Make sure to get some support from people that can factor in those details. There is a group on MFP for thyroid issues. Make sure your eating enough per your workouts. I under ate and know I am going to pay for it.
  • yogurt, protien bar, protien shake. Something low in fat and high in protien
  • I have not done Tae Bo since high school in 03' so I am not sure how popular itis now. I do something similiar though in the Tapout XT workouts. I see Tae Bo as mostly cardio so I would incorporate some strength training in the form of body work such as push ups, burpees, sit ups. Curls dips and squats would also be good.…
  • Just sent a message that I hope will encourage you. I think you have made yourself aware that you should focus on what you have accomplished more than what needs to be done next. Just keeping being positive and see the "real" you is amazing.
  • Welcome back. I tend to login at a sporadic rate. I need accountability. Add me.
  • Under the apps section there should be a section that says BMR which stands for Basal Metabolic Rate. Input your base info and MFP should give you a base calorie count.
  • I would first be interested in how long the doctors have you on the liquid diet? Also how strenous of a workout do you plan to do? I think that if your calorie count is not high enough you will have to limit your workouts. Jackie hopefully some more knowledgable folks will post on here to give more advice. I hope you feel…
  • I am only recently learning about the whole Basal Neatablic Rate thing. You need a set amount of calories just to function even if you do not workout. In order for your body to fight this off you will need to get your calorie count even. Try to force down some soup. I think it is o.k. if you go ahead and crash tonight but…
  • The most I have done was a 48 hour water only. In January I did a three day liquid only since I had to work 12 hour shifts while my church was doing a 3 day water only. I got those V8 fusions that are high in sugar and ate one meal a day.
  • Fasting does have benefits but there is a great deal that goes into it. Before the fast eating fruits and vegtables. During the fast staying hydrated (unless for spiritual reasons you are doing a non water or food fast). When breaking the fast (breakfast) you should not eat heavy. Fruits and vegtables again. One time I…
  • I could not bear to throw pizza away with the example of the person throwing it away. I have freezed pizza slices before but the trouble with that is that it is always there for you. The benefit of freezing is you could make one or two slices to be a end of the week cheat. You mentioned social anxiety. I have that too. I…
  • Congrats on your improvements. Keep up the good work.
  • * Side note. I do the Tapout XT workouts and I gained 9 pounds the first week but I felt strong (muscle).
