Oh I know - it took 9 months to gain this weight, so it definitely won't come off overnight! My goal is to lose it all and have kept it off by my birthday at the end of April. That's be almost exactly 8 months!

@epcooper: I am thinking my fast results are because I was used to eating SO much sugar and carbs. I run a baking business, so DAILY I was tasting samples of my products, having a little bite of leftover batter, etc. Just cutting THAT out is likely the difference so far!

I get on the scale every morning just to see [and it helps me stay accountable] but I only count/pay attention to/track my weight weekly. I also take measurements weekly.

My 'official' weigh-in and measurements are Tuesdays, since I started Paleo last Tuesday. But I've been hopping on the scale every morning - not sure why. Anyway, so far I'm down 3-4 pounds! Really I just want my measurements to go down, so I'm definitely only doing those one a week.

Yes, add me! I'm 5'5" - 168 [gained 30 pounds in the last 8 months] aiming to get back to 128. I'm trying to kick my sugar and carb addictions and trying a non-cult version of Paleo for at least a few months. My diary is open if that helps other people too!

It's in the bulk bins at Whole Foods, Sprouts, and other such stores. I started Paleo this past Tuesday and I'm amazed at how it's not nearly as challenging as I thought it would be [so far]!

I'm in! I have a bad knee so I can only walk 2-3 days before needing a rest day. Since I can't run anymore [stupid dislocating kneecap!] I aim to walk about a 15-minute mile pace. Whew! Yesterday September 1 I did a 4.3 mile loop. Today 9/2 is my rest day.

I started Paleo this week, and picked up the cookbook Everyday Paleo [she also has a great blog] at Costco during my epic shopping trip. My husband has bookmarked half the recipes!

My chiropractor suggested that I likely have a gluten intolerance because I have a lot of inflammation and other symptoms that could be related. Plus gluten and sugar combined are how I gained 25ish pounds over the past 8 months.

I found two brands of plantain chips - Natura at Whole Foods, and Trader Joe's. So far I like the TJ's brand better. Saw Everyday Paleo at Costco when I went on my GIANT shopping trip on Monday [I call it Prep for Paleo Day] - picked that up and have bookmarked soooo much of it!

I think it's your yogurt. Most yogurt sold in the US is EXTREMELY sweetened. Try a more natural-sourced yogurt without added sugar!

I just started Paleo on Tuesday so I can kick my sugar and carb addictions. So far, so good, though I'm still learning what balance of protein/fat/carbs to have. So far my snacks of choice are plantain chips [holy cow these are awesome!], almonds and blueberries.
