  • Very depressing. Just had 2 weeks holiday. Weather not ideal for much of it but on the one day I walked 13 miles. Not bad for a 63 year old. I lost 2 pounds that day. Within 24 hours I had regained that. Even worse, by the end of the holiday I was 2 pounds heavier than at the start.
  • Definitely the Fitbit!
  • Absolutely not!!! My dog is the only family I have left and the only companionship.
  • Daily - always first thing in the morning before I get dressed (worrying image :noway: ) The odd thing I find is that when I gain or lose weight, it always seems to be at least a pound at a time. Why do I always put on, or lose, over a pound? Incidentally, I find if it does go up, it always does so on Monday morning. I…
  • Notification tones on my colleagues' mobiles, with the volume set to maximum!! :noway: I am tempted to select an annoying tone on mine but that seems a bit juvenile. Also, then my phone would annoy the hell out of me as well
  • Sadly as I got older my tolerance for sweets - especially chocolate - has decreased. I used to be able to stuff myself with sweets or chocolate - sometimes even without being sick - and survived. Now even a single creme egg would make me feel decidedly uncomfortable. Not sure whether that is a good change or a bad one…
  • I drink Soya Milk at Home and if it is available when eating out. If not then it has to be Semi-Skimmed. I just can't drink Skimmed Milk. It looks and tastes horrible :noway: Edit - Yay, my 100th post
  • I use Quorn instead of meat. No bone, no gristle, no fat, etc. I have tried tofu - it needs most of the water squeezed out first and then cook with some sort of flavouring, maybe Oxo cubes or gravy browning, or even Soy Sauce (although this is also high in calories I think - and also salt). I also used to eat TVP (textured…
  • The one that gets to me is where the word your is confused with you're. The first one means something belonging to you and the second means 'you are'.
  • What is there not to like? It was given to me by my Father, who is now gone. I am proud to accept his legacy to me
  • Apparently the makers of Twinkies have gone bust now :noway:
  • That makes more sense. Now I think about it, it does seem just like my wireless mouse. Thanks
  • Are you sure about that? I am using the Dongle now on my Mac and I didn't have to add a new MAC address to the access list for WiFi devices on my Router. On the other hand I didn't need to pair the thing either, so a bit of a puzzle. Seems to be working though. Pity it doesn't fit on my belt.
  • Fitbit One arrived - thankyou Amazon and the Post Office. The App on my Galaxy S3 does not seem to have any way to connect with a new device, but the iPad Mini has connected and synced the new device. Not tried the Bluetooth dongle yet. Good so far, except the clip on the holder is much too small to fit on my belt or the…
  • Well, I have the iPad Mini and my Galaxy S3 has (at last) upgraded to JB. All being well, the Fitbit One should arrive today, so we will see what happens  Anyone know what port the Fitbit Windows software uses to connect with the Website please? My work laptop does not connect, so I am guessing the signal can't get…
  • Apparently the Fitbit One only works with its own Bluetooth dongle, even on machines that already have Bluetooth4 - so that makes it a non-starter IMHO :noway: Pity - it might have been a nice little device.
  • Does the Fitbit One work on a Mac running Lion? I don't fancy upgrading to Mountain Lion at the moment :noway:
  • Thanks to WowWiki, I have now completed the quest with the flying dragon as a Hunter and can move on. Oddly enough the Monk had no problems at all and the Rogue managed after a while. The Hunter got killed over and over again. Very strange - very annoying quest.
  • I also weigh daily, first thing in the morning. Although it can be annoying, I find it interesting to see how my weight has changed. For example, some nights I seem to lose several pounds overnight (having weighed before bed as well). Conversely, some mornings I find I am the same weight in the morning as I was last thing…
  • Anyone else having real problems with Pandas (in classes other than monks) on the quest to kill the flying serpent? I forget the name but it comes at about level 9. The one you bring down by sending fireworks up at it. I just keep getting killed. I had a lot of problems with a level 9 Rogue and am completely stuck with the…
  • Some trousers that don't need a belt and then need to have the loose cloth shuffled around to try and make the waistband comfortable. In other words, clothes which are actually the correct size. The strange thing is the pair of jeans I have on now were originally put aside as they were a bit tight around the waist. Now I…
  • Pet Battles are fun. Now have three Pandas - Monk, Rogue and Hunter. Still not sure which I prefer. Still don't like the Talent Tree mess - I suppose we just have to treat each Expansion Pack as a new game, with the old game just a memory now.
  • I assume this would only work for those on US servers, not EU ones?
  • That is correct - logged in just after 23:00 UK Time and was able to create a Pandaran Monk. Unfortunately I couldn't actually login to the game. Tried three different servers and it still hung just before the end of the progress bar. Logged in this morning though for a few minutes before work. They have dumbed it down…
  • Wonder how large the download will be when MOP is bought online?
  • It seems you cannot carry both melee and ranged weapons at the same time any more. So you shoot from a distance, then open your pack, put away the bow or gun, hunt inside for your sword ..... ...... and you are dead. What a stupid idea. Good job everyone will be playing unarmed monks from tomorrow.
  • I can't play this. I tried downloading it from the Blizzard website and then tried to login - for some reason, Blizzard feel that is 'suspicious behaviour', so they locked my account. I reset the password, confirmed that had worked by logging in to WOW, then tried Diablo3 again - same thing. Why Blizzard are suspicious of…
  • I don't like the Talent System - all of my existing characters are crippled until that starts to make sense. Most of their Quickslots are now empty due to that. Also, my female druids now turn into male stags as a running form, with Christmas Tree decorations hanging from their full set of antlers!! I have pre-ordered MOP…
  • I remember that as well. It is a good feeling. Strange that we are actually happy to be classed as 'overweight'. My Doctor suggested I aim for at least a BMI of 28. I am now 27.7. Working towards getting under a BMI of 25 and so back to 'normal' weight. Good luck to all who are in the same place :flowerforyou:
  • Seems I am most like Khetag Pliev, a Canadian Wrestler. Not sure whether to feel flattered or insulted. Maybe he should feel insulted?
