  • Already on it, I usually drink 12-16 cups a day, water is super important!
  • Start weight - 199 (as of yesterday) 11/12 - 11/19 - 11/26 - 12/03 - 12/10 - 12/17 - 12/24 - I really want to get as far away from 200 as possible before Christmas!
  • I'm in! My weight loss has slowed recently, so I thought 10lbs was an achievable goal.
  • Not taking monthly pics as I'm not a fan of seeing myself in photos, although I took a pic the day I started and another one when I hit 50lbs lost last week. I have my measurements taken every two months along with my Body Fat percentage and BMI. I'll take another pic when I hit 75lbs lost and then again when I hit 100lbs.
  • I eat Shredded Wheat every morning, great way to start the day (only 189cals) and it has 6g of protein (with semi-skimmed milk), fills me up until Lunch. http://www.fitday.com/fitness-articles/nutrition/healthy-eating/the-nutrition-of-shredded-wheat-cereal.html#b
  • 2. Describe your dream/goal body. Toned and athletic, but I'm realistic and know I'll never look like Jessica Ennis! Though I'd like to be toned and get rid of the belly flab and bingo wings and be a size 12, a size I've never been in my life! Dream goal is to walk into any shop and be able to shop for clothes!
  • I've lost 53lbs in the last 5 months and I get people asking how I've lost the weight, but when you actually tell them - healthy eating and exercise, they lose interest. It seems everyone wants you to say you've found some magic pill and the weight just melted off with no effort
  • Absolutely love this idea! 1. Write your current stats: height, current weight and goal weight. Why are you losing weight? 5'6", SW 252, CW 199, GW 150. I'm losing weight to avoid health complications and to, for the first time in my life, feel confident and sexy and to wear the clothes I want instead of ones from plus…
  • I completed one of the goals I was hoping to do when i lost weight when I was 210lbs a month ago - I ran a 5K (in 35 minutes). Now i'm working on competing in a 10K next year. It may sound silly but my dream goal when I reach my target weight is to go on holiday with a fashionable selection of clothes to wear. I've only…
  • Event Horizon: One of the scariest films I've ever watched, creeped me out for years....I still can't watch it! EDIT: Should have added IT - that put me off clowns for life, just thinking about it gives me shivers.
  • I started off with 7 stone to lose, now it's down to 3.5 until I reach a healthy weight for my height and build, then it's time to see if that's where I stick
  • I'm in! I'm losing between 1.5 and 2lbs a week so I'd ideally like to lose around 12lbs by New Years. Count me in :drinker:
  • I'm pretty strict, I've cut out crisps and chocolate altogether and don't miss them one bit. Though if I fancy chocolate (only happened once so far in 5 months), then I will get a small bar and share it with someone, rather than restrict myself and go and buy a crap ton of the stuff! I now make all my own meals and work on…
  • I'm in the UK and found that to go from a size 24 jeans (my highest) to a size 20 took nearly 3 months and 36lbs. Then I went from a size 20 to an 18 pretty quickly (currently in the size 18). I think it is true that the first size or two takes a long time but after that it speeds up a little. The annoying thing is the…
  • I purposely keep a few bags of nuts - almonds/raisins/trail mix etc. on my desk next to my mac, because there are always sweets and cakes around the office (i work with 11 guys who love junk food), and whenever I feel tempted, I just grab a handful of almonds or some raisins and the temptation soon passes. I also have a…
  • My November goals: Start strength training (I have a PT session set up next week to learn about form and techniques) Source a decent second hand bench and set of weights to get me started at home Up my total run mileage a week to 10 miles Do at least 1 session a week on my core to improve my strength and conditioning Lose…
  • Hey! I'm 5'6" and I have been on MFP for 4.5 months and started at 252, I am now 201, with a loss of 51lbs. I eat between 1200-1400 per day and exercise 4-5 days a week, doing a mix of Kettlebells (seriously the best exercise for me I've found, great all over body toning), Boxing, Running (C25K graduate, now running 4miles…
  • Hi, I'm 5'6 and I started at 252 in June 2012 and am now 201, I'd like to be around 180 for my birthday on February 25th 2013 and then reach my goal of 150 in June 2013 (exactly a year after I started). Weight loss has slowed the past month and is incredibly frustrating as my routine hasn't changed, so I'm planning to mix…
  • Hi, I'm 5'6 and I started at 252 in June 2012 and am now 201, I'd like to be around 180 for my birthday on February 25th 2013 and then reach my goal of 150 in June 2013 (exactly a year after I started). I cut out chocolate and crisps and pretty much all junk food, I eat as clean as possible with lots of protein, fruit and…

  • I specialise in Macro and Close-Up work, landscape isn't my forte, though with the landscapes around Northern Ireland, sometimes even I'm tempted to photograph it!
  • Clothes.....I've never shopped so much in my life, as I have in the last 4 months!
  • I drank most of the alcohol in Ireland when I was at university 8 years ago, that's the culture in Northern Ireland for young people. Once I left uni, got my own place and a job, I just had no desire for it anymore. I'll have a west coast cooler at special events now and then, but other than that I don't drink at…
  • Normal weight as a child, was very active and sporty. I put on my weight when I went to high school, got a part time job and discovered sweets and chocolate (we didn't eat much of those when I was growing up as our parents wanted us to be healthy).
  • Hi! I graduated C25K 5 weeks ago and ran my first 5K race 3 weeks ago in 35minutes. I'm now training for a 10K, running 2-3 days a week. I'm still not at the stage of loving running, but I do enjoy it, especially the runners high after a great run. I'm now up to 4 miles on a single run and trying to add 1/2 mile every 3-4…
  • Awesome journey, congrats! Is that first pic taken in Northern Ireland at Kinbane Castle by any chance? Thought i recognised it (I'm from NI). Well done lady! :drinker:
  • Three meals and one snack in the evening
  • I'm 29 but I started C25K at 230lbs, made it through and graduated. I ran my first 5K race 3 weeks ago in 35 minutes. You can do it. I remember not being able to run for the 90 seconds, felt like I was going to explode....now I'm running 4 miles a few times a week. Just keep going, don't give in, push through it, it's…
  • Absolutely! I go to a boxing class every friday evening and I love it. Such a tough workout, but incredibly enjoyable and it really improves your fitness. When I started going a few months ago my stamina wasn't great, now I can get through the whole class quicker and with better form. Would highly recommend finding a class…
  • I didn't really notice until about two stone, but I guarantee if you took a pic of yourself now and compared it to before you lost 26lbs, you would notice a big difference!
