My entire life changed when I started running! I learned to push myself and love myself. These things are priceless! Body wise, my bust decreased in size. My legs have more muscle definition.

I was Insulin Resistant and had PCOS in April of 2012. During a 6 month period, I lost 60 pounds and cure my IR and PCOS. PCOS is NOT a death sentence and does require a little extra diet guidelines to lose the weight. Low Carb diets are the only way you can lose weight with PCOS. Insulin is a hormone and when consuming…

I had a very similar experience. The reason why Ortho messed me up so much was because I had PCOS and my hormones were WACKY! My doctor had to introduce me to a hormone pill for about two months. I'm now on the Nuva-ring. It might sound weird but it's really the best birth control that I've ever been on. I started it…

There is no way to target weight loss for any part of your body. Your body does what it wants! I started as a 40D and am currently a 36B with a 101 weight loss. Losing it in my breast has been the best thing that ever happened to me!

I go to the Gym after work, so I usually already have make up on.

There is a test for gluten intolerance and whey? Are you sure? There isn't an allergy test for gluten.

I put raw egg whites in mine.

I've seen excellent results with a lower carb / high protein diet. I am Insulin Resistant and have PCOS. My doctor put me on a IR Diet where I eat a protein to Carb ratio. For every 7 grams of protein I eat 15 grams of carbs. This ratio does not exceed 30 carbs at any meal. It's a very manageable diet. I still eat my…

BUMP for later! I'd like to read this when I have more time.

I have one fur baby. She's a Jassie, half jack Russell and Australian Shepard. She looks like a long legged Jack at 30 pounds!

If another girl scout approaches me with cookies, I'm going to pluck her eye out Kill Bill style! Stay away from me sugar merchant! I usually tell them that I have a gluten allergy and I'm diabetic. However, one told me today "...but you are married!" She should sell cars!

My breast were the first to shrink! After I lost a cup size, I started to lose it in my back.

Loose and Lose are 2 different things! Sorry, that's a pet peeve of mine. I've maintained for 6 months now and maintaining is WAY hard compared to losing the weight. It's true that you need to increase your calorie intake by 100 calories each week. Have you cut anything out of your diet while you were losing and added it…

I have a half jack Russell and Australian Shepard and she will be 10 months old this month. Unfortunately she hasn't learned the "heel" command yet and am currently working on it. This seems to be a slow process but worth it. Thanks for all the advice!

There are two apps on my phone that I cannot live without. Zen Labs - C25k App - I just completed the 10k version and I'm in love with their products. Runkeeper - Tracks your pace, distance and route. Congrats on learning to run! It's going to change your life.

I'm just lazy. But I force myself to work out. I plan my workouts ahead and try to stick a routine. So if I cancel one of my workouts, it's on me and I hold myself accountable. Get yourself a workout partner to help motivate you! That's what I'm currently trying to find. Also, I only do workouts that I'm REALLY passionate…

I'm an avid Coffee drinker. This has just been my experience with it... 1. Black coffee makes you sick. The acid within the coffee will give you the worst stomach cramps! I make sure to put something in it. 2. I'm diabetic and my diabetic doctor told me she'd rather me have real sugar in my coffee than the fake Splenda or…

It sounds totally gross but the Nuvaring has been the best Birth Control that I've ever had! I've lost over 100 pounds on it and it has never given me any issues.

I think the issue that I'm having is store quality. I live in one of those "one horse towns" in the South. We just got a McDonalds...which was a big deal. lol. Looks like I will be traveling for a new pair of shoes. Thanks for all the advice and comments.
-
Out of curiosity, what was the store name? I live in a VERY small town and the shoe selection is very minimum. Sounds like a nice day trip to take. =)

I have the Polar F4 and LOVE it! I never workout without it. As stated above, make sure you rinse it after every workout and wash it once a week. That thing gets smelling funky!

As a diabetic I avoid bananas! I eat tons of apples because they don't affect blood sugar levels like other fruits do. I don't know why you would avoid fruits if you didn't have a medical purpose?

You've got to understand that if you've been overweight your entire life, it's weird for your friends to see you slim and fit. I only see my family on the BIG holidays (about 3 times a year) and it was really hard for them to wrap their minds around my rapid weight loss. I wouldn't sweat the small stuff. As long as you…

Cutting out the Gluten/wheat changed my life and IBS! ...and my insulin resistance and PCOS! You'll never regret it and good luck!

I started at 256 lbs and am now 155 lbs. It took me 15 months to lose the majority of the weight and I had a 3 month maintain period. I had PCOS and Insulin Resistance and started the diet. The diet is low carb, high protein and very manageable.
-
I'm a runner too and just finished my C210k Training today! Would love to have you add you as a friend. Have you considered switching your running schedule up? One day dedicated to long runs, speed and different terrain? Do you cross train or lift weights?
-
Yes, no issues doing a lower carb count. I stick to the 30 carb because helps me properly proportion the foods that I eat and fills me up a little more. Just find something that you wouldn't mind doing forever.
-
I follow the Insulin Resistance diet for my Insulin Resistance and PCOS. The ratio that I lost all my weight on was a 7 protein to 15 carb ratio that doesn't exceed 15/30 at any meal.

I've lost 101 pounds off a low carb diet! Please feel free to add me. =)
