Just try to make sure she understands that what you are doing is natural and there is nothing wrong with it. I have had my older children stand up for breast feeding in public. If we are at a park or something and someone says something or acts disgusted I have had even my 6 year old say something to like, "My brother is…

I have birthed 9 kids and I still get nervous in those final weeks. Every birth is different. I have been amazed to learn what my body is capable of doing. You will be too! With my first I found out I am allergic to the epidural so all my others were done without one. My last birth (2 months ago) was a water-home birth. It…

Definitely depends on your birth experience. With #1, I was in amazing shape and working our daily. I was back weigh lifting and dancing 3 days after she was born (I was in college as a dance minor). With my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th kids I was back to walking and low impact aerobics in 4-6 weeks. With my 5th, I didn't get back to…

Ultrasounds are like looking through murky water. They are not as accurate as doctors would like to think. With my 4th child the doctors kept telling me the baby was going to be huge and they wanted to induce me. They said my due date was wrong and wanted to move it up. I know exactly when I got pregnant because my husband…

I drink it toward the end on my pregnancies (34 weeks on). It seems to help me. I did not drink it with my first (17 hours of labour) or my 8th (21 hours of labour) but did with all my others which averaged 3 hours of labour. I also have used EPO with most of my pregnanacies. With this last one I also used the caulophyllum.

I have 9 children. Before having our first hubby and I used BC. I was exercising a lot (I was a dance minor in college at the time) but not eating great all the time. My baby was born early with some complications. Since then I kept exercising and ate better, stopped smoking, stopped drinking (except for the occasional…

anyone else have their baby this month? Can't wait to see those little cuties!

I had a home birth/water birth last month and it was the best experience ever. I know wonder why I ever gave birth any other way. I would suggest having a back up plan just in case. A friend of mine had her baby at home the week after I did and she had to be airlifted to a local hospital because of bleeding. Everything…

I started at a 20-22 and got down to a 10 in 2 years (then I got preggo so I am in a 14 now a month after giving birth). I started out doing the 17 Day Diet (Dr Mike Moreno). It was a great way for me to jumpstart my weight loss.I have since changed it up to suit my lifestyle more but still follow the basic principles. I…

I gained 15 pounds with my first but 40 with my second. Most of my pregnancies have been a gain of around 25 pounds though. 1800 is a fine goal if you are short like me (5'2"). I try for a 1800 to 2000 goal. Your food choices are more important than the calories content to me. I will eat 2500 calories of healthy, non…

Just gave birth to my 9th a month ago. The kids are 20, 15, 14, 12, 10, 8, 5, 2, 1 month.

lots of very good info and tips in your post! For me I have to track my food. As a recovering anorexic I tend to not eat or not eat enough. Tracking helps me to get enough to eat and keep my milk supply up.

.5 is a good loss for the first month or so. You don't want to focus on too rapid a weight loss at first (like the first 3 months even)

got my Zumba on

I am 3 weeks post-partum and have lost a little over 21 pounds. This is baby #9 for me. I run a challenge group every month if anyone is interested. I am BFing. So far doing yoga, walking, and light cardio. Hoping to be cleared for full workouts this week.
