  • My year of ME starts in 2014. First starters, the first goal is the big move across country to Baltimore, MD. Excited, to say the least. But for now, I am building a strong ME. Gym for 2 hours a day, 5 days a week. Watching my diet, for the most part. And adding in skate days to help build my derby ready body back up. But…
  • No notices for me, either. My boyfriend says he can see a difference in my butt. It's gone from flabby to round and strong. Weird, I know. I had another friend that I hadn't seen in a few weeks tell me she can tell in my face. Other than that, no one else has noticed. But I can tell in my clothing, as everything is getting…
  • Awesome!! I love you just for saying that. :)
  • For those that gave positive encouragement. Thank you!
  • I do 45 mins to an hour of cardio a day. And within that, I do intervals of a fast pace jog and a brisk walk to get the heart going. I do it off and on as long as I can until I stay at a brisk walk. I'm building my endurance back up, so I can just jog.
  • In all honesty, I don't really use the MFP food or exercise diary. I usually don't have the time to do it daily. Uhg. I know that I need to to do it, though.
  • WOW!! You look great. And about 20 years younger. Great job!!
  • I had an evaluation with my doctor during a check up and we decided together what a healthy weight would be for me considering how much I weigh now and my height. I'd be happy with it even if I'm within 10-20 lbs.
  • I started on 1/6/13 and I've lost 8 lbs.
  • Alright. Souns good. Just drop me a line when you get back and we'll set something up. I actually started using the gym at my house also. I brisk walked/jogged 30 mins on an incline on the tredmill and did some leg weights for about 15 mins. But I need to go somewhere my dog can get some exercise also.
  • RollerCon is awesome! It's actually founded by the founding members of my league, Ivana S. Pankin and Trish the Dish. It's a weekend full of debauchary and organized chaos. But soooooo much fun. There are classes for you to sign up for. If you're a ref, there are ref classes. If you are jammer, there are classes to help…
  • My real name is Michelle and after a 2 year hiatus from derby, I'm finally going back. Actually, I already went back about a month ago. My name WAS St.Val Massacre #1929 of San Diego Roller Derby, but when I quit, I decided to retire everything. Now, I am Cattie D. Ville #57 of SoCal Derby (I hope, as I am still a newbie…
  • Hi there! My name is Michelle and I live in La Mesa with my boyfriend (the dude in the photo with me) and my awesome Boston Terrier, Hugo. I stopped playing rollerderby (my exercise of choice) about 2 years ago for several reasons, but the main one was injury. In those 2 years I've managed to gain quite a bit of weight and…
  • I'm a skater on a hiatus. Count me in!
  • I am. But that's because I think they are too small. My goal is to drop to my goal size (not weight, because I know that I have a lot of muscle mass and that out weighs fat) and get implants. I'm as serious as heart attack.
  • I'm a Renovation Sales Administrator. Nothing too fancy.
  • Roughly 12 mins for me and I'm in San Diego.
  • I know it sounds weird, but have you thought about shopping at the $1 store? I recently discovered that at a local one (I'm in San Diego), they sell fresh fruits and veggies. And fixings for a salad. Also, in the frozen section, some sell frozen meals. I've found Michaelina's and others in there. I stocked up and with $10…
  • Ladies, I haven't read all of the posts, but so many of you are getting into shape FOR rollerderby. Why don't get into shape WHILE playing rollerderby. When I first started derby, I was sooooo out of shape and I'd NEVER played a sport in my life. I thought I was going to die. But I didn't die. And I didn't give up. I ended…
  • I skated for the now defunct Chitown Sirens for a short while before moving to California. And then I skated for San Diego Roller Derby for about 2 years (since the beginning) before I took a hiatus to weed through and adjust some of life's obstacles and drama. But after being gone for a little over a year, I made a…

  • My real roller derby name is St. Val Massacre #1929. Paying a little homage to my beloved Chicago mafia.
  • I have several friends that sell Advocare. I formed my opinion on it long before they tried to get me to start on it. I don't believe in a get-skinny-fast miracle pill, so I've VERY skeptical about it. And I even told my "rep" that I was and also said that it's really expensive and not something I'm really willing to put…
  • I've recently started doing this. Even though a lot of restaurants give you a hard time about it, most will be fine with it. Plus, sometimes the kids' meals have something a little different and better for then adult meals. i.e. instead of fries, they offer apple slices. SCORE!!
  • My boss is taking the Catalyst and she really likes it. She says that she isn't as hungry as she would be during meals and so she doesn't eat as much as she would. I want to try it also.
  • WOW!!! You look great so far. Good job!
  • I haven't anyone in my life that has been negative when it comes to being healthy. However, I know I've been a big ol' negative when it comes to my sister talking about getting the lapband. It's not that I disapprove it, it's that she doesn't put forth the effort to do anything about getting healthy and losing weight in…
  • What about jumping rope or using a hula hoop in your backyard? Whenever I decide to use my jump rope again, I use in my back alley, by my car.
  • I hike like crazy. At least 3-4 times a week. But you know how your body begins to get used to doing something and then it doesn't become as effective as it once was? Well, that's what hiking is turning into for me. :( It makes a me a little sad, but at least my dog enjoys it with me. A friend of mine is working out at 24…
