  • Some sites say that you subtract 10% of the calories since you get rid Some of the calories, but some say that you do not. It's all a bit confusing. Today I did 4 celery stalks, 2 large carrots and 1 large apple. It was delish!
  • How are you doing? Keeping up with your goals?
  • I was just searching for someone in a similar situation with a post! I'm stuck in a rut and am BACK on MFP! Please, anyone looking for some extra motivations (like me) FRIEND ME! We can do this together!
  • Just make sure to set yourself up for success. Set small, attainable goals, and that will help you keep going. Long term goals are great, but short term goals keep you going! GOOD LUCK! You can do this!
  • It is! I find that it really helps, especially when my spouse doesn't! Feel free to friend me...all of you! I could use a few good "friends"!

  • Hi Shep. I hope that you find this site helpful! My trainer says it's not just the calories that you eat, but the quality of those calories. I would LOVE to golf that much. Had ankle surgery not too far back, so I'm not back to swinging yet. Best of luck.
  • I like sunsweet ones prunes. they are only 25 calories each, and they taste great.
  • I'm almost 30, and I gained 60 lbs over a 3 year period. I have had 2 ankle surgeries during that time, but the truth is that I let myself go. I never had an issue with my weight until I met my husband (who is very fit thanks to his high metabolism) and I ate what he did, and added to my inability to work out, I packed on…
  • I followed weight watchers for a while, and I didn't lose any weight following it. They kept telling me that I wasn't eating enough, even though I was hitting my numbers. This site actually helps you stay motivated without going to a meeting, and it is free. I find myself consistantly hitting my calorie goal, and it's much…
  • That is great! Keep up the good work! It's the small victories that keep us going. You will be in the next size down before you know it!
  • Definitely go to a running speciality store. Fleet Feet (for example) puts you on a treadmill to see what your feet do when you run (pronate, flat foot, etc) and then give you three shoes that would work for you, each in a different price point. They don't force you to get the most expensive, but let you choose what feels…
  • I also have the chest strap and watch. It is great, and you can download it to your computer and track your progress. It also helps you stay in the right heart rate for what you are trying to achieve (i.e. weight loss). Biggest loser uses bodybug, but I don't know anything about it.
  • multigrain cheerios (with or without milk) is always a good choice. Some times I eat a banana or a fiber one chocolate chip bar. It only has 140 calories and is DELICIOUS and filling...especially if you drink some water with it after you drink your coffee. I also like to back these things and take them to work, that way I…
