  • i held my goal weight for 8 months while continuing to TRY to lose another 5 to reach my husband's idea of my goal weight. Then I stopped tracking while travelling, and in the last 9 months put 9lb back on. I need to get back on track. I'm struggling because I can't seem to bring myself to commit to what I remember of my…
  • I made TV time my knitting time, so my hands are full. As long as I'm feeling motivated by my project, then I don't snack. It's when I'm bored with my project that it's a problem.
  • I don't plan for a free day. I find that after a few weeks of watching everything I eat, I get to a point where I am just plain old sick of it all and almost depressed at the thought of having to micromanage my snacks. That's when I know I need a free meal or a free day. Having said that, usually my free days turn into…
  • I will admit to having a box on my desk at work. I haven't eaten any, though, since they were banished from my home kitchen because no one liked them. Word to the wise, Rainbow Cookie Sandwich Poptarts really are pretty gross. I'm not really sure why I keep them there. I'd be better off keeping a dollar in my desk drawer…
  • You can do it! I joined in June of 2012. I'm 5'2" and my starting weight was 160lb. I'm now 134 and only 5lbs from my goal weight! No one but my husband told me to my face that i needed to lose weight, but everyone says I look really good now. LOL. I dropped from a size 16 to a size 10 and am contemplating size 8s now,…
  • It's all so relative to your body type. I'm 135lb, 5'2", and firmly in size 10s. I don't expect to fall below size 8s, even when I drop another 10lbs. I haven't seen size 5s since the 7th grade, at 110lbs. i'm just too curvy for it.
  • I eat avocados for breakfast. I make guac with 1/4 avocado, lime juice, salt, and garlic, spread it on a piece of wheat toast, and top it with an egg (cooked, of course.) It's nicely satisfying, if a bit odd.
  • Many people find that when they start running or doing some increased form of excercise, their bodies try to hold onto some extra water. The idea is that the body needs to repair stressed muscles that are being used more than is typical. 3lbs of water weight woudjn't surprise me.
  • I had one for 2 years and put on 24lbs. I was also irrationally hungry all the time. Moody, low libido, gained 14 day periods with a 28 day cycle, couldn't think my way out of a paper bag, and on and on. I hated it. Now that it's gone, I've lost 15 of my 24lbs. And am a ton happier. everybody's different, tho...
  • Awesome job! Congrats!
