Anyone else snack in front of the TV? It's like my worst habit. I found it so hard to quit that I have just had to try not watching TV at all. TV and sweets go hand in hand for me. Anyone got any tips? I miss my telly!!

I actually find TV a distraction from snacking! Probably not all that helpful. I'm not a snacker as it is, prefer big meals less often!0

I'm the same way! A movie isn't a movie without popcorn or chips! Or at least it never was before I tried loosing weight. I'm trying to break the habit..it's not easy though! Try snacking on things like grapes (gives you that pop in your mouth feel like popcorn!)0

Or switch your snacks - air-popped, seasoned popcorn is a tasty and filling snack that doesn't have a lot of calories. I have been successful in losing weight and eat it all the time. Sometimes I make myself a nice cup of tea and enjoy it while I watch television. I am getting to slowly sip something yummy that has low to no calories.0

I made TV time my knitting time, so my hands are full. As long as I'm feeling motivated by my project, then I don't snack. It's when I'm bored with my project that it's a problem.0

I eat roasted chickpeas. I can only eat a handful cause it's packed with protein and I guess that's what makes me feel full.
I love snacking and don't want to feel bad about it, so I make my snacks as healthy, low-calorie and delicious as possible.0 -
I stopped doing it. I could polish off one of those big bags of chips in no time.
Now I sit on the couch with the iPad in my hand.0 -

I had an awful habit of this, I think it's how I gained most of my weight, mindless eating. Now I make sure I eat at the dinner table, and am aware of every bite I take. Snacking is slightly harder, but for me I try and focus on the food and flavour (being mindful) so that I don't eat so much, and don't look down and realise I've eaten the whole tub of Ben and jerrys lol. I also portion things out, so now just get my desired amount of ice cream/ popcorn out and have no more. That coupled with the mindfulness means that I can have less food but still satisfy my craving.0
