How does everyone feel about a free day or two a week? Not watching your calories or doing your routine exercise? Yay or Nay?

I don't plan for a free day. I find that after a few weeks of watching everything I eat, I get to a point where I am just plain old sick of it all and almost depressed at the thought of having to micromanage my snacks. That's when I know I need a free meal or a free day. Having said that, usually my free days turn into simply a HUGE breakfast, and then I suddenly feel like I'm good to get back on track and I usually finish out my free day only 50 cals or less over.0

Considering my progress and the weight I still have to lose, I don't think I can afford a "free day".
A "free" day for me would consist of pizza and ice cream... and that's just breakfast.
I don't mind "cheating" on a meal or two once in a while. But "cheating" for me means getting a burrito instead of a burrito bowl at Chipotle.0 -
I don't plan free days, but when life gets in the way, and you have a day you can't control as much, that's what I consider my "free day", when I don't feel guilty about whatever happens, and I just get back on track the next day.
What I do do is plan for some "treats" occasionally. For example, yesterday, I was having an old friend over for dinner, and we wanted to make homemade pizza. It wasn't necessarily unhealthy, but it was a lot more carbs than I usually have in one sitting, and so I planned accordingly and then let myself enjoy it.
Just my two cents. I'm still figuring it all out.0 -
I have to avoid them, one free day will turn into 3 or 4 and then I'm back on the slippery slope.0

The only time I have a "free day" if it's a special occassion or a vacation. Even then the goal should be moderation, not binge eating.0
