Act cray-cray all of a sudden and file divorce out of the blue.

I use Coffee Mate liquid. It adds calories but makes the coffee delicious. I use Hazelnut. If I'm at Starbucks, I add half and half and sugar. Splenda like other sweeteners is rumored to pose health problems. But cell phones are rumored to cause brain tumors and we don't know yet. We know about cigarettes. Sure these…

I'm 40 and close to 41. I lost almost 20 pounds on MFP when I first started with Fitbit. But sadly, I've put 10 back on. I'm focused on keeping and taking more off. I ran three half marathons, three 10Ks and three 5Ks in 2013. That's crazy. I ran five 5Ks in 2012. I never was a runner and always had bad knees but I figured…

I've hit a plateau. I've hovered around 6 pounds of the same weight since early January. While it's frustrating, it doesn't diminish the weight lost before that and I haven't lost everything -- still eating well and even exercising more. Hoping not to give up. But it is frustrating and I want to break through to soldier on.

Congrats. Before and after photos are great. Enjoy the results of your hard work.

I wish I had done Couch to 5K (C25K) but I just started out slowly by running/walking and built myself up over time. A race in April is plenty of time to train so just start out slowly and get to 2-3 miles. I'd run at least 3-4 times a week if you can. Once or twice a week isn't enough. My first 5K was rougher than my…

I hate going to the ATM and it's not convenient to my home or work. So I usually pull out at least $100 to last me a week or two. You don't really need cash much these days. It's mainly just for tipping.

Thanks for all the insight. Didn't expect this to be such a big thing. Maybe a man sports bra will be a thing some day. A mansierre/bro.

Congratulations! That's a great accomplishment and to do it in less than a year. Any tips or words of advice?

I've done three 5Ks this year (2 this month) and hope to do at least one more. I'm also focusing on doing a half marathon next year with a possible marathon in 2014 or maybe 2013. I like training and competing even if I'm not that great. Feel free to add me.

I heard about C25K but went my own direction. I started out slow -- walking mostly and light running. I had really bad knee pain from my teens that came back but I fought through and haven't had it for months since. I'd say find a good, safe route that you like and think of alternatives. Also, find a consistent time that…

Good point. I also got a lot of good pointers from that article and read with interest. Yes, Lose It is honorable mention, but at least it was mentioned.

My wife's family is Polish. We eat perogis and have a Polish Christmas (herring!) every year. For our honeymoon, we went to Krakow and absolutely loved it.

I turn 40 in March. I have mostly positive feelings -- I have a happy family and my health is improving daily! I'm getting to be in better shape than I was at 30 so who cares about age.

Thought he looks like Steve Jobs' last living photo -- thin and sick.

I root for USC, the Univ. of Arizona and watch a ton of NFL games. I think I saw about 8 games between college and the pros last weekend. Love the fall -- and football season.

Weigh every morning. Usually record every morning regardless of the result. I like to see how I'm doing and what affects my changes. Sometimes I have a low calorie day and no result and then magically a few days later I lose.

Congrats. That's a big first step. Hope you've told your friends and family too. I support same-sex marriage too.

Apples have good fiber and I agree consuming a lot of water is good. I've done Medamucil but it's gross so I try to stay away.

Nope. Wouldn't put her in a difficult situation or us. If she cries, I take her outside but I wouldn't take her to a fancy restaurant. That's what babysitters are for.

Nice work. Very inspirational.

I've continually made poor decisions regarding diet and exercise.

I've had one for a month and a half and love mine. It definitely makes me workout, take longer routes, take the stairs, etc. Also, they synch with MFP so you can record your meals here and they push to fitbit's web site. Fitbit just tells me I need to take 10,000 steps every day and I make plans to do it. For $100, I think…

Go small portions and try to only do one trip. Try to stay away from desserts and focus on fruits. But you're hiking in Tahoe (should be beautiful) so you can eat a little because you'll be burning a lot of calories. Also, I find it helpful to record food on the MFP mobile app so I know what my calorie "budget" is.
