  • Seems like an awesome oace to me. I cant seem to get under 12:30-13 minutes...(5'5") Then again, I've obly been at it two months.
  • Welcome C.!!! Maybe having you here will get me back off my butt. ;)
  • I always just added BFing to my cardio, 1 min. 500 cal when EBF, then when I got to 4-6 feedings I dropped it to 250..... I always gained what while nursing, and when I did lose 26 lbs while nursing my daughter who was 12-15 mos at the time I gained almost all right back when I stopped counting calories... Main concerns…
  • I am so mad Austin went home. When they showed his 1 lb weight loss I actually cried. LOL! I was happy it wasn't Olivia, but devastated it was him. I really wished it was Jay. Cannot stand him.
  • First of all, (((Hugs))). I know all too well how hard it is just living each day, let alone trying to better yourself on top of it. All too well..... If you'd like another friend, who "gets it" please feel free to add me. Secondly, ditto those above who mentioned doing one thing at a time. I'd start with exercising. My…
  • I am one who uses my phone at the gym. Only because I do not own an mp3 player or ipod. Also, I like to photograph the treadmill when I reach a new PB. ; Only time you will see me actually TOUCHING my phone, it to remove it from the cup holder, snap a pic AFTER my run, or to turn on or off a C25K mp3. ;)
  • Same here! LOL! Usually I do high knee stepping on the wii board, with the lift I got for it during the show, keeping my heart rate between 125-135, then do crunches, reverse crunches, squats and lunges during the commercials. Jay got SOOOO lucky! I want him gone! I am totally thinking either Irene or Austin will win, but…
  • Way to go! That is a HUGE deal! Huge! Definitely be proud!!
  • If someone posts on mine-I reply their. If I reply to someones post on their wall, and they write back, I reply there. NEVER starting a new post on their wall or mine when it is just replying back and forth.
  • TMI but.....they make me nauseous and make me poop.
  • See I'm the opposite! I get so bored running outside, not being able to watch the distance and no my exact speed. Plus I am a LOT slower outside. I can doing 2.5 miles in 30 min on the treadmill, and push myself harder, where outside, I get bored and give up much easier and don't push myself as hard.
  • I google HIIT treadmill workouts and try to do something different that has me focused on one interval at a time. Or watch some TV, brisk incline walking during the show, running for commercials. I read when I first started using it, but can't run and read. Music does NOT work for me, but the (free) c25K podcasts do.
  • My boys have a bin of old halloween costumes we stock up on when on clearance. My 3 year old dressed as darth vader came up to me and whispered in my ear in a perfect darth vader voice, "Me a killah', the force can't save you now" :noway: My five year old has a new obsession with saving money. He thinks it's sooo cool that…
  • I experienced it 3 times. :( The first wasn't too bad, but I did come close to losing my husband. After my 2nd was born, I also lost my grandmother. If you look through my old blog posts at littleduckie6.blogspot.com you can see how bad it was when I talked about it. I did seek therapy and antidepressants. But it got to…

  • I cannot imagine staying away from ice cream! Recently I've switched to fro-yo, just as tasty and creamier!! 2 servings is more than half my "old serving size" so I've cut back a lot. And now instead of having it nightly it's only a couple nights a week. Speaking of...now I want a bowl! The Edy's double fudge…
  • I haven't but there is a TTC w/ MA (trying to conceive with medical assistance) board at justmommies.com that has been a godsend to many of my online friends. :flowerforyou: If it werent for the forums there, and the forums here on MFP, I'd be in a much worse place, mentally and physically than I am currently.
  • I have the same problem normally. I usually where a reg. bra, sports bra, tank with the shelf bra built in, then a shirt. I just feels like they aren't as free, not uncomfortable at all.
  • We coupon here, only buying stuff we eat. I do get a lot of dairy products close to free thanks to coupons. Last time I got two wheels of laughing cow cheese for $2, So two for 1/2 the price of one. :D Yogurt, the kids cheeses they like, etc, oh and tons of frozen veggies as well. Last time we saved $101 :D
  • 10 lbs and 9.5 inches lost. Finally fitting into a favorite pair of jeans again. :D Bumped my "comfy" 5.0 running pace to a 5.2 :D
  • nursing 8-12x a day: you burn apx. 500 4-6x apx. 250 If you are nursing a min. of 6x, I'd put it as between 300-350. Make sure you are getting at least 1 glass of water at each and every feeding as well. Way to go for nursing so long! :flowerforyou: My 19 month old just recently self weaned a month ago today.…
  • When I started I wasn't able to completely 30 seconds. For me it depends on my speed: If I am running at a 7.0 mph I can only go 30 seconds. 6.5-a minute if I push. 5.0-5.5 I can go up to 5 minutes but i get bored. If I stay between 4.5-5.0 I can go longer, and have done the 20 minute run in the C25K program once.…
  • Sat, Sun, Mon, Thurs every week, one random day thrown in, and aerobic step at home on off days.
  • I only have a 24 oz bottle, but it's always empty by the time I get off the treadmill. Not so much on the elliptical, but Idon't have the coordination.
  • Since you didn't break it up I'd put 1 set 107 reps.
  • Hi there! I'M Nicole, 24 y/o wife and mom of 3. (5.5 y/o & 3 y/o boys, and an almost 19 mo old girl) I also have almost 40 lbs to go as well. ;) The tracking has really shown me how much I was eating. (Who knew portion sizes were so small? LOL!)
  • YES! w/o it you won't no how many calories you are accurately burning. Machines, MFP, online calculators will always be off! Turns out I burn more than most of those calculations and my gym buddy always burns way less, we weight the exact same amount, and are the same height. All because my heart rate is 15 bpm slower than…
  • I'm game, I'm in my young 20's for another 8 months....ROFL! (24) I doubt I'd fit in all to well as I live the life of someone a bit older.... (Same relationship for 11 years, celebrating my 6th wedding anni next week, three kids, typical stay at home mom...)
  • Get a HRM. Treadmill and elliptical, I usually always burn way more than both the machine counts..... But a bit less than MFP.
