  • Hi! I'm in too! Just had a baby 5 months ago and I need to get back on track. I was doing really well pre-pregnancy (lost almost 30 lbs the year leading up) and was a couple lbs from my goal when I got preggo. Then I put all the weight back on and then some because I have no willpower. Please help!!
  • Hi, I have the Flex and really like it. I was able to link it to MFP and mapmyrun and now the three interact (mostly) seamlessly. The one problem I've had is the battery life. I have to charge it every 5 days and i thought that would be long enough, but I've already had it die on me twice because I forget to bring my…
  • Congrats on the progress! Feel free to add me--I've been a member for a while but just started checking out the forums and trying to be a part of the community. I'm definitely interested in making friends here and benefiting from other's experience.
  • The runners in my neighborhood and I do it--it feels like a bonding moment bc I HATE running, but if I see others out there doing it I feel better about it. But that's about it, it doesn't happen like in the gym or anything--to me that's a little weird haha
  • I'd love to join in too!!
  • Congrats! That's an awesome accomplishment!!!
  • Daft Punk--get lucky and anything Macklemore....not my usual taste, but it gets me going!
  • You probably need different shoes. I'd go to a running store and get fitted for shoes that work with your feet. It may simply be that you need a larger size (some people have swelling in their feet when they work out). I had a neutral shoe that causes me no problems in every day activities, but when I work out in them, I…
  • I've pretty much cut out most sweets. For me, if I'm going to cheat I'm going to do it with something worthwhile--and I'd much rather have some extra cheese on my burger or some potato chips with my sandwich over the candy bar or soda. One of the first things I was able to cut was soda and I'm so happy I accomplished that.
  • Hi, Anyone can add me! H: 5'2 A: 29 No kids Start: 178 Current: 162 Goal: was 155...I'll probably adjust when I get there, I didn't want to feel like I'd never achieve it and it's my wedding weight (5 years ago)
  • Ugh...so I went to grab it and get ready for my run and the battery is dead...so looks like I'm waiting a couple of days to test your advice.

  • I meant relatively as in I purchased it about 6 months ago. I glance at it while working out and it says 0, I used to joke that I was dead and that meant I didn't have to lift/run anymore  I do usually wet the strap first, but maybe not enough and I've never heard of cleaning the contacts. I'll give it a try for my…

  • I think it counts...maybe not the general straightening up sort of cleaning, but what you're describing sounds like a legit workout to me!
  • Wow...what strength you have shown already by sharing your story on here. I'm new to the community portion of the site, but I'd love to help you accomplish your goals!
  • Hi. I've always been told that your HRM should be the most accurate...it's the only one that goes off your true exertion (5mph for me is a very different level of exertion than for someone taller or in better cardio shape). So as long as you enter your own details to the HRM it should be the most accurate. Hope this helps!
  • Sounds like we have similar stories--feel free to add me and hopefully we can figure this out together!
