Hiya,
I'm not new to MFP, I left in the beginning of the year. Here's my story...
I worked my *kitten* off to lose 60lbs over the last year and worked even harder to keep it off, I joined MFP and was able to meet amazing people who helped me stay accountable until it went to hell. I found out I was pregnant in January and was beyond excited, I figured I would do my best to eat healthy a midst the pastry cravings and new found allergy to vegetables (no seriously the smell of veggies would send me running in the opposite direction) But in February I miscarried, I was devastated and while my husband was supportive and amazing he couldn't comfort me the way a key lime pie, brownies and ice cream could. Then if that wasn't a kick in the stomach my father (best friend) passed away from a sudden heart attack a few weeks later. I spun out of control and begin closet eating..no seriously I would hide food in the closet and eat (don't judge me). Since January I have gained 30lbs and cant seem to get back on track. Then this morning as I was eating the last of the birthday cake I had on Friday (once again don't judge me) I looked down at the plate and begin to cry..it went from a soft cry to a OMG WHAT HELL IS HAPPENING TO ME AND WHY AM I EATING CAKE FOR BREAKFAST cry. So here I am, riddle with guilt but ready to start over. I have my gym membership, a shopping list for this week and no cake left. I'm ready! Now all I need is a group of kick *kitten* supportive people in my corner, people I can support, and laugh with. Please feel free to add me & good luck on your journey!

Hello,
First I want to tell you I think it is inspiring that you are willing to put yourself out there with your story. I am sorry for your losses and pray you find comfort and healing.
6 months ago I lost my brother, age 36, also to a sudden heart attack, my family was devastated. My sisters and I all have different coping styles....I couldn't eat for a while and lost 15 pounds in a month, most of the weight is back on now. One sister couldn't stop eating and has packed on 30 pounds in a few months, hasn't been able to pull it together and stop eathing yet. She promised to join here and partner me in this weight loss goal.
I would love to add you and hopefully encourage each other on our journey.
Best Wishes,
