People who still think that egg yolks are bad for you must also still think that trans fats are awesome and saturated fats are the devil.

Oh disgusting... please please please go buy a NEW box if you are making this with the intention of having people eat it.

I can always lose weight faster if I cut carbs, but I know it's not a sustainable change for me. I cannot completely cut them out, I LOOOOVE them too much. Bread, pizza, mashed potatoes, PASTA...I am miserable without you guys.

I definitely feel sluggish during TOM, but I still exercise and am sure to drink plenty of water. Literally nothing about my routine changes during that week, just my attitude and energy levels.

I do cardio indoors when I can. I live in one of those places considered "safe" and saw on the news that a girl was brutally raped and beaten (barely recognizable afterwards) by some completely wasted dude in the middle of the day on a running trail. You have to be careful at all hours of the day. Also, saying you can ward…

I love this! When or if your friend is ever ready, she may humble herself and come to you for help. She knows that you're doing the right things, but feels insecure and is not ready to do it herself.

a 16 oz steak with mashed potatoes. And pasta. Lots and lots of pasta with cheese and breadsticks. I would be surprised if I could actually eat all of that food in one sitting, but man it would be good.

I love love love this saying!

Try doing some HIIT (high intensity interval training) or circuit training with weights. 30 minutes of this is going to be more effective than 30 minutes of cardio. I love Jillian Michaels DVDs because they are doable (freakin hard, but doable) and only 30 minutes and increase in intensity every workout. My favorites are…

There's another exercise you can do in addition to squats. Lie on the floor on your side like you're going to do a side plank. Bring your top leg forward so your heel is facing the wall in front of you, and lift. The higher you lift, the better. Grab an 8lb and rest it on your outer thigh to give it more resistance. Repeat…

Wow! That's awesome. When I first started losing weight (2 years ago, before MFP) I lost 3 pounds a week for about a month, then it slowed down. You'll find that you have to adjust after you lose a bit of weight as well; the same things may not work. As for the light headedness, make sure you are drinking enough water,…

Well...if you strength train, your after burn can be about an extra 100 calories a day for the next 3 days. I know this doesn't take into account cardio, but just a thought.
-
I feel your pain. I've been busting my butt 6 days a week for the last 3 months and have lost only 1 pound. I've been getting suggestions to have a high calorie day, just go over calories by 300-500 calories to give your metabolism a little kick. Hopefully it works! I've only got 20 pounds to lose as well, I think the last…

Sugar is not bad, but it occurs more naturally in a banana. Also, chocolate milk doesn't have fiber, vitamin C, or as much potassium as a banana. Everything in moderation, but let's make our food more efficient and nutritious.

whaaa...? Chocolate milk is full of sugar. How is that a good drink for anything?
-
that is so exciting! Congratulations!!

Pop your own! My favorite is to add garlic salt and a little parmesan cheese. mm :)

Haha!

I've found that adding a TON of greens to dinner makes it more filling. A cup of broccoli (or my frozen mixed veggies that I always get and eat all the time) is only 40 calories and has fiber to fill you up. Start adding more vegetables, especially dark greens!

80/20. I aim for 80% of my daily calories to be "good" foods and 20% to be treat foods. Every once in a while, I'll have a high calorie day, like once every 2 weeks or so.

I really want to get in shape before I get pregnant so I can still be active and have healthy babies, then lose the weight faster after giving birth. And I want to look awesome.

I don't know about clear urine...sounds like too much. I've always heard that your urine should look like lemonade, so if it looks like apple juice, drink more water. If it looks like water, drink less.

HRM is more accurate and a little more expensive. I have a fitbit zip, only $60, but I know it's not completely accurate, especially with the calories that I burn doing weights. But it's nice that it syncs to MFP and it's a good motivator; it makes me get up and move more to try and reach 10,000 steps a day.

I want to lose 20 before getting pregnant, but I'm trying right now and am happy with my new healthy habits.

yes.

I love using Burt's Bees. It works great and most of their products are 99.9% natural (no artificial fragrances, etc.). Remember, what goes on your skin goes into your body. :)

Um, yeah...it wasn't really clear whether you were talking about portion sizes or single foods or...whatever. Almonds are good, they're about 8 cal per nut and help you eat less if you have a few before meals. Celery, tons of greens, whole tomatoes, fiber one brownies, half a granola bar, jack spratt's bread (only 80 cal…

When I get frustrated, I scream "Crap-it !!!" Makes my husband laugh and lightens the mood a lot, haha.

Had to bring this thread back because there is some b---- at the gym who comes at the same time as me and uses the machine next to me. I can smell her a mile away. Not sweat...perfume. Who effing puts on a gallon of perfume (and a half-inch smear of eyeliner) before coming to the gym first thing in the morning? It makes me…

I feel obligated to shower every day after working out, but I only wash my hair every other day. Long hair sucks to dry and style every freaking day.
