Either I'm just having an emotional day, or the stories on this thread are really, really touching. So many people, have suffered so much. Yes we are responsible for where we are, and yes we are the only ones that can do anything about it, but there have been some hurtful people who have said a lot of hurtful things to a…

I've been a migraine sufferer all my life. Since starting with all this, and going to the gym, I have had a 'no excuse' policy, including pain and headaches. If I have one in the morning, I go to the gym and work it out. No doubt this wont work for everyone, but I've been happily surprised with less migraines for the last…

Ok, last question I promise... What dangers are there in eating too much protein if you're still in the fat burning part of getting fit and not lifting heavy duty weights? (really appreciate you guys taking the time to answer me)
-
Oh that sounds dangerous LOL
-
Are there any other side benefits of taking it instead of cooking up a nice bit of meat? Do they have added vitamins/fibre etc? Another question, what's the average intake of protein for someone really building up muscle (this isn't me, I'm just curious again) :)

Crocodile, kangaroo, emu, mutton bird, kangaroo balls....yup, you heard right.... I feel sick....

ps...my son's a butcher ;)

Does it have a lot of calories? For example is it more, less or about the same per protein gram as steak or chicken?

It might not be a plateau. It could simply be that you are retaining fluid, or need to wee. Or you might need to poo. We can go up and down quite a bit in one day due to all sorts of things. Even something as small as not weighing yourself at the same time each time. Having just eaten before you weigh yourself. Don't…

Or you could just say 'In all honesty I'm only attracted to ostriches, and I haven't met a decent one lately'

It really is nobodies business. But people don't mean any harm when they ask these things. It can be pretty hard to answer if you are like me and have this inane truthfulness. I'm learning to smile and say nothing, because it's better than telling them the truth, and I can't lie.

Where else could you possible go, and find other people who have a goal that their tummies don't rub against the steering wheel? *chuckle* I love this place!

Another thing I do to avoid hunger, if I am low on fibre for the day, and if I'm craving some sweetness, I have some Benefibre. Fills you up, it's sweet, and it's really delicious, plus provides a bit more fibre in your diet. Very low cal too.

I know this is going to sound weird...but I have taken to eating mushrooms like apples. I buy a massive bag of them, keep them in the fridge in a bowl uncovered. They stay fresh and crunchy and I'm addicted! *waits* for someone to tell me mushrooms are bad LOL...

Why would you be on appetite suppressants if you're not able to eat a 1200 calorie diet? Log everything. And I mean absolutely everything. You'd be surprised what has calories in it! Eat clean. Fresh raw produce that you prepare yourself, and lots of protein if you're working out. Go up to 100 protein. Protein fills you up…

Ok...I'll say it. I and I'm sure many others, have 'dated' over the years to find acceptance. We are often so low in self esteem and self worth, some of us have come from abusive backgrounds, if we were overweight at school we probably experiences bullying. Those things don't just go away with time. Finding someone who…

^^ this. Get off the 'diet' cycle and begin a healthier life :)

I'm going to send you a personal message if that's ok?

I saw organic in my local Woollies the other day, but had no idea what to do with it, or what it tasted like. Seemed a lot of money to spend if I hated it. What does it resemble in taste?

I was once told 'you can't break a habit, you have to replace it with something else, something healthier'. Planning in advance is really essential. Avoid driving that way home. Make sure you've eaten before you leave the house. Work off the calories BEFORE you do it. Drink a lot of water so you feel a little more full if…
