My Dad had type II diabetes so I decided I should loose weight to avoid it. *After* loosing weight I was diagnosed with insulin resistance. A few people encouraged me to start lifting weights to increase my muscle mass. My last blood test shows I'm not longer considered insulin resistant. I would suggest working on…

I asked for food options for extra calories. I didn't ask anyone to psychoanalyze me or give me their "expert" opinion on my relationship. (Where do these people come from? Seriously?) Thank you everyone who gave me food suggestions. I really appreciate it.

Thanks M andeenicoleb!

I'm totally completely 100% jealous. That must be it! Maybe I should just poison him so I don't have to put up with his high metabolism any more. Never-mind everybody! I think Diem just gave me the answer to my problem! ... anyone know where to get arsenic? /sarcasm

Thank you Dr. Freud. I look great! I'm a hobbyist model. I could be professional if I was 10 lbs lighter and 10 years younger. He looks great too. We are a cute couple! Is it weird to think that maybe looks aren't everything? Have you ever wondered if there was more to life, other than being really, really, ridiculously…

Does he not eat to the point of being sick? He gets tired, absent minded, indecisive, and sometimes crabby. When he is tired, absent minded, indecisive he is more likely to put off eating. When he becomes crabby that's just no fun for anyone. And in the past (before he was dating me) his doctor was concerned about his low…

I'm a good cook. I enjoy cooking. I cook for my mom when I go to visit her. He is quite willing to cook but breakfast and lunch usually slip his mind and when he cooks dinner I get steak (no veggies or starch to go with it). I guess I could go on an all steak diet with him.....

These are great suggestions! And he loves my lentil soup. ;-)

It's ok. Just don't tell my boyfriend. ;-)

How does being facetious help this discussion? Or was he just trolling?

I'm answering the question by using an analogy. The following link my help you understand. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/analogy

If I were a mechanic, and my BF's car was in bad shape, would you understand me wanting to help fix his car?

I didn't know I had a husband! :-o

He's not a good cook. I am. And as I mentioned he will just forget to eat. I guess I could just sit idly by as he wastes away....

I send him to work with sandwiches like these already. Good idea!

If you quit smoking there is a chance you *may* temporarily loose some progress on your diet plan. If you don't quit smoking there is still a chance you may lose progress on your diet plan and you *will* continue to damage your body. If anything you should have a fear of *not* quitting. I quit 5 years ago and it was one of…

Is anyone still in this challenge?

"Do you know anyone who works at ABC Company who may have tried to call you? No? Ok, well hopefully they will call back. Have a nice day." That's what I always said when I worked at the front desk. :-P

I'm glad to hear you are not giving up on cardio completely! Yay! :-) BTW: I used to hate the treadmill and it would hurt my knees and hips. I would make a deal with myself and do the treadmill until I started to hurt and then go do something else. My knees and hips have strengthened and now treadmill is one of my…

What are you doing for cardio Beeps? Sometimes the body can get used to one type of exercise and become more efficient at it meaning that you burn less calories. I started switching what type of cardio I do at the gym (bicycle, treadmill, stair-climber, and elliptical) each week and I noticed much better results. Something…

I hear that Lucy! Peanut butter is *so* yummy and *so* high in calories. :-( I'm not catholic but I think I may give up peanut butter for Lent too! ;-) Great idea!

I'm up 2lbs after getting sick last week. Here's hoping next week brings better results for me. :-S

I think that sounds like an awesome idea!

MFP put me at 1200 calories but I usually burn 250-300 every day with exercise so that is about 1500. I still often end up going over my calories by ~100 but still loosing weight.

Oh! And for chocolate, Jello makes a sugar free chocolate mouse that is only 60 calories. Yum!

I also eat smaller portions of what I'm craving and I try to add substitutes to help fill me up at the same time. Like sometimes I crave peanut butter so I'll have a little peanut butter with some apple wedges. Or if I'm craving chips I'll have them with lots of salsa.
