As someone who used to overeat (and still struggles with this every day), I think you could start with changing your eating habits and overcoming those feelings of other people seeing you eat. This is a great book that really helped me:…

Usually an hour a day. I do some of my workout at home, and some days during the week I'll try to do something outside if the weather is nice.

I know this is true from experience! Do it long enough... it eventually catches up to you.

I know it's bad, but I really want to unfriend people who are constantly negative and won't take the encouragement to do better next time. :/ I understand that it is hard, but I think when you're constantly complaining, it seems like more wanting attention than really wanting help....

YEP!! Good for you!!! :) Giving us all inspiration!

I'm working on shoulder wrap/poncho sort of thing. I've been going at it for MONTHS—since April, I think. Phew! I'm just a few inches away from being done... I want to wear it next month! Here's a picture from the pattern: http://images4.ravelrycache.com/uploads/sarahmartingale/96732836/bluecablewrap_medium2.jpg

I have slight hypothyroidism, I only take about 30mg of a medication for it. Even at that small amount, it made a world of difference! So, I can only imagine having it be more acute.
-
You probably shouldn't take any more meds........ :/

Yep, breakfast is really important! Don't worry---one day compared to 365.... :)

:drinker:

Two days is a drop in the bucket of 365..... get back on it tomorrow! You can do it! It's the first day back that's the hardest, but you can do it. You're the only person standing in the way of what you want to accomplish! :)

I do this as well.... one thing that has helped me was to purge my kitchen and pantry of unhealthy snacks and replace it with quick and easy things that will still be healthy. Like, Larabars... fresh fruits... applesauce and stevia for making quick healthy baked goods... and I memorized some of the…

Psh, I feel like working out is my treat at the end of the day.... helps me get through the day when I have that to look forward to!!

Actually, it is OK to eat those things every once in awhile, but in the long-term if you eat them daily, they can lead to heart disease, diabetes, etc. They don't have the same benefits as fruits and veggies, nuts, beans, grains, etc. They just don't. Maybe they have the same protein, carbs, fats, etc., but they are…

Eggs, avocado, greek yogurt, cottage cheese, sweet potatoes, black beans, chickpeas (garbanzo beans), tofu.... Look for things with high protein content, and don't go for the "fat free" version. Healthy fat (like in avocados!) is good for you! There ARE veggies that are going to fill you up more than others. Avocado is a…

I agree with the suggestion for a snack at 10 or 11! Maybe make a batch of boiled eggs and take one with you for mid-morning snack?

I'm 24, and looking to lose about 15, to 125 too. :) Feel free to add me!

I recently picked up the Jillian Michaels Master Your Metabolism cookbook, and it does have some meal plans, as well as great tips for moving beyond the chicken breast and lettuce ;)

I like the idea of just taking it, then immediately throwing it in the trash..... kinda mean, but if you've asked someone to respect your boundaries, and they don't, that's the consequence. Kinda reminds me of Parks & Rec episode, Ron Swanson throwing the veggie bacon in the trash.... "another, please!" LOL :)

#12 - To feel like a BEAST! Haha, seriously, I love that feeling of being strong and accomplished.

A couple of my favorite dinners: - Baked sweet potato with black beans, spinach, tomato, red onions, a little cheddar, and salsa - Stir fry veggies with a little teriyaki marinade, and brown rice (if I need some more protein, I'll add tofu!) - Salad with chickpeas, sunflower seeds or almonds, a boiled egg, and then packed…

You're not eating enough!!!!

Anything by Walk the Moon. ;)

Every time I've ever worked with a PT it was the same thing. Once I was sore for a week and a half---like, can't walk, move, sleep sore. The unfortunate thing is that every time I've worked with one, I HAVE told them I needed a break or couldn't push like they were asking. They ignored this and said they thought I could do…

Yes, you will still lose weight, because your NET caloric intake will be the amount you need to lose weight. For example, my required caloric intake to maintain my body weight is something like 1700 (I don't remember the exact number). So, to lose weight, my required caloric intake is 1200. If I workout and burn 1000…

My mom is an instructor! It's great :)

I think having friends on MFP motivates me to be MORE honest than I would be otherwise. It is helpful to know that there are people looking at your diary who can keep you accountable.

Thanks for all the tips!! I worked really hard yesterday to get as much protein as possible—made a protein shake after my workout and some other mods—and it DID help! Still feeling hungry at times, but not terribly so, and feeling much more energy! Thank you all :)

Desserts for sure! Any kind. Also, pizza is tough..... I have NO willpower there.
