Well, I didn't want to play favorites, but.... :D My thanks to Sarauk2sf, morebean13, 31prvrbs, anewlucia, geekyjock76, helloitsdan, beachlover317, and tameko2, and I'm sure others who aren't on my FL but that I've probably referenced posts from. I know some of you get really beat up in the forums for what you're posting,…

And my muscles! :)

Really good advice from Tameko! I have major trouble with my balance, even before I started lifting weights—I always have been wobbly no matter what I'm doing. So I felt really unbalanced when I started squatting too. It gets better if you keep practicing, and take some of the suggestions here! Also what helps me is to…

OMG. It's a trap!!!!!!!! If you're getting that worried about a "gain" on your period (which isn't really a gain), just toss that scale out the second story window.

I was eating 2100 for the past month or two, every once in awhile eating a little more if I worked out really hard or went out with friends. I don't have any more weight to lose, just trying to reduce bf%—but on that I didn't change at all, which makes sense because it was my TDEE calculated from the roadmap method. I…

Was planning on teriyaki chicken with veggies and rice, but dang... some of these ideas sound so good, I might have to steal something :)

My husband and I have allowance for each of us, and we can spend it on whatever we like. The only things in our budget are things that we can both agree on—food, gas, eating out, rent, car payments, bills, etc. But the biggest thing that keeps it civil between us is that we are both understanding and have grace towards…

Thanks! This is helpful.

^ this. Also, this: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/news/fullstory_131983.html "Researchers created a list of 50 random food items, then found studies from the last 35 years that claimed risks or benefits for the majority them. But most of the claims were based on weak evidence."

The group Sara mentions is very helpful! Check it out.

A++ thread! Would read again!

There are very, very, very few people who have a BMR of 1200 or less... but that doesn't matter because you shouldn't be eating at or below your BMR anyway. You should be eating your TDEE which is totally more than your BMR. And besides, do any of the people in this thread who are advocating a 1200 calorie diet even KNOW…

A++ thread! Would read again!

The people in this thread do not know their BMRs. That is the issue.

You do know that, eating that little, you lost mostly lean body mass, right? And you do know that lean body mass burns more calories than body fat, right? So you know that now, having lost lean body mass and gained back more body fat, it will be even harder to lose it again, right? Stop. The. Madness. Please. Eat. Lift…

They eat bugs in China, and it doesn't seem to hurt them: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGTIs9fvkUA :D

Yum!! Definitely going to make these.

Oh, forgot to mention.... an avocado has twice the potassium of a banana. Boom!
-
This thread makes me so sad......... Avocado is one of my favorite foods. I try to fit it in most days of the week, and it's totally worth the calories. It helps me meet my fat macro % (30), tastes SO GOOD, and I actually notice a huge difference in my skin and less breakouts when I have it all throughout the week.

I feel sorry for some women because they *think* they have to eat 1200 to lose, but they really don't. So not only is it the worst eating only 1200 calories, but it's totally unnecessary. I eat 1850 to lose, and 2100 to maintain. I'm a happy camper. :D

Made this AM: I did add a splash of almond milk, cause my PP is pretty thick. SO good!!! Thank you for the recipe!

Bump! Sounds super good!

Haha :) I think my grandma has a little crush on her trainer too, lol! That is so awesome. I'm so glad there are trainers out there like that!! Hope you can hire him this year too!
-
That's awesome!! My adopted grandmother started going to the gym and getting a PT a few years ago when she was losing weight on WW, and that guy, also 20-something, started her doing free weights right away, even though she was in her late 60s. She's kept the weight off, and improved her bone-density since then—and I just…
