That is GREAT!!! Good for you! :)

I weigh probably..... once every two or two and half weeks. When I do it more often than that, I feel like I start getting obsessive and really down about small fluctuations. I pay more attention to how my clothes fit, and when I'm curious I will weigh myself.

I'm running my first 5k on Saturday!! Mustache Dache ;)

I am the same way.... so, breakfast 8am, snack 10:30, lunch 12, snack 3:30, snack again 5:30, workout, snack again after, dinner 7:30, sometimes a snack before bed 9. When I workout in the mornings, same thing.... pre-workout snack 6:30, workout, breakfast 8, snack 10:30, lunch 12, snack 3:30, dinner 5:30 snack 7:30. Check…

High calorie deficit doesn't always = high weight loss. I only had an 1800 calorie deficit last week and went to the gym a grand total of 3 times. And I also lost 0.5lb. Why? Because I'm eating more to weigh less....... check out eatmore2weighless.com. Founded by two MFP members.

Me too! :drinker:

Nice, thanks!! I will check them out. I forgot to mention.... a couple of weeks ago trying to get more protein, I was eating A LOT of dairy, especially cottage cheese... along with whey protein powder. I got really sick. Now I'm just eating a little cottage cheese and a 50/50 whey/soy protein shake, and feeling much…

They died. Of severe starvation. Sorry, but I've already got 30 bites here at breakfast, and I still have like four or five meals left today.... It honestly just doesn't make sense. The truth is.... it is A LOT easier to count your bites than pay attention to your calories, and eating healthy, and getting enough protein,…

When I was eating 1200, I would be pretty upset if I went over even by a few calories. I always aimed to be 25-50 under. Boy, was that an awful way to be. My daily goal now is 1800, and I'm pretty close to that every day, sometimes just 30 calories or so over. Now that I know my TDEE and I'm just eating a slight deficit of…

I am the same height as you (close to the same age, too), and I originally had the same goal weight. I started a few years ago at 180. Now I'm at about 132, and eating 1800 calories a day.... and feeling much better. I'm working out, lifting weights, and my body composition is changing, even if my weight isn't necessarily…

It doesn't matter how I feel about it. It matters how YOU feel about when YOUR husband is doing it. If it makes you feel bad, talk to him about it. Every relationship/couple is going to be different. Even if everybody else thinks it is OK, your feelings in your own relationship shouldn't be discounted.

Beans and rice, banana and PB, and stir-fry veggies. Oh, and anything on ChocolateCoveredKatie.com!!!

I'm working on getting more protein (and I am also a vegetarian, eat fish a couple times a month), feel free to check out my diary for ideas! Last couple days have been a little low on that, fyi. I found that cottage cheese is a GREAT way to boost your protein intake. Unfortunately, it made me sick so I can't eat that much…

It makes me feel good! No matter what my weight is, I always feel better about my body when I'm working out on a regular basis. I also think it is FUN. I love to dance and move and be able to do more than I could do last time. :)

My husband pokes fun at me for being a vegetarian, but if I say that it is too much, he stops. He likes to make jokes about EVERYTHING, so it's really just his personality—he is very supportive of me, and the last thing he ever wants to do is make me or anybody else REALLY feel bad. It sounds like those people in your…

Actually, I think it is supposed to be 1g per kg of body weight. Divide body weight in lbs by 2.2, and that is kg.

Why not ask if she'll join you at the gym for you-and-her time? And, a hot date after at a healthy restaurant :) I think if you're focusing on it as a way to spend time together and enjoy a similar hobby, it's a win-win for your health AND your relationship. :)

I have struggled with binge eating in the past as well. Now I consider myself a snacker... I have to snack all throughout the day and spread out my calories to be able to not binge! I also have to make sure I'm eating enough calories—none of this 1200 stuff!

+1!

If you can eat a slightly lower calorie, full and balanced diet every day and lose weight (people do it all the time, check out success stories), then why would you restrict yourself like that?

^ this. But just looking at your diary, you're definitely not eating enough most days. So, she might actually be concerned with good reason.
-
 In all seriousness, sometimes there is something you don't know about people and their eating habits. All through dating my husband, I could not understand why he was 6'1" and weighed 135lbs, when, if I followed the same eating patterns I saw when we were together, I would have easily gained 50lbs. Now that we're…

Secret's out, this is totally a joke thread ;) Sorry to disappoint!

So that sick feeling is actually.... my body making negative calories?? YES.

Good enough for me!! Sounds awesome!!!

Basically... 1) he's not telling you something, and 2) he has a problem that will eventually hurt his health, whether it's weight gain or not.

Yeah, but we all thought binge drinking on the weekends would make you blow up like a balloon, too, and there's already a thread proving that's not true!! ;)
