  • very interesting article. thanks for sharing. :flowerforyou:
  • That IS something to be excited about! Progress comes one step (or pound) at a time! Congratulations! :flowerforyou:
  • You are DEFINITELY not alone. You can do this. :flowerforyou: You need to do this for you, though, not for those around you. It's such a blessing when we finally see things that our eyes were closed to before. Here's a new chapter that will have a happy ending! Congratulations on your new start! We're walking along right…
  • Okay you and I need to converse. Our weight goals seem similar (except I've got a little more weight to lose) and I've been doing this since 7/25. I've lost about 15 pounds and maybe 8 inches. I'm getting frustrated now because I'm not losing any more weight so I'd be really interested in your everyday weight work…
  • This is a great site for encouragement and motivation. It's helped me tons and continues to help me stay strong when frustration sets in. Ultimately, though, make sure you're not doing this just for your family. It is your body and it'll be good for you!!! :flowerforyou:
  • oh girl...I know how you feel. I've been stuck at a 15 pound loss forever it seems....yesterday I got on the scale and it said I was down 18. I was SOOOOOO excited. I got back on it this morning and it's back to a 15lb loss!!!! UGH!!!! I know EXACTLY!! how you feel. It's SOOOOOOOOOOO frustrating. I've been alternating my…
  • I think drinking juices or smoothies may be a viable option - just drink a little at a time. Make sure you are taking a daily vitamin so your body is getting some sort of nutrients. If this continues you probably need to spill it with some close friends, pastor, family and you may even need to see a doctor and ask for some…
  • I'm sorry to hear about your situation. Hang in there and even if you get on the scale and you've gained a little remember that each day is a new day. I hope your back is soon better and your little kitty recovers. I have a dog and love her dearly. Stay encouraged!! It's only one moment at a time...:flowerforyou:…
  • I have never taken b12 but I have taken phentermine. I also have a dear friend who took it for a long time. The biggest thing that I noticed (and she did too) was mood swings. Hers were far worse than mine but I still had them. It's been a while but, if I remember correctly, she was somewhat manic with it. Mine were more…
  • That's a good article. Thanks for sharing it. :flowerforyou:
  • In my case it was replacing a lack of something with food - ie. a lack of activity (boredom), a lack of feeling love (I've learned to read my Bible instead or call a friend), a lack of optimism in losing weight.... I thought I was addicted to food but I have been blessed by realizing that I was using food to replace…
  • That is so incredible and it sounds like you have an awesome support system too! Congratulations!! :flowerforyou:
  • :flowerforyou: That's so wonderful to hear! Congratulations!!
  • I've also been told washing your hair with shaving cream will strip it out too. You can also use Suave shampoo. I've been told that's a harsher shampoo that strips your hair down. But I DEFINITELY would call the salon and speak with them about fixing it first. Sorry about your hair. It's a bummer when you hate your hair…
  • I never knew about exercisetv.tv. Thanks! That is so cool. I'm bummed about the plateau too but let's see what I can do to mix it up. I REALLY want to lose weight, get in shape and get my new haircut!!
  • I guess that makes sense but running (which would probably be my preference - even though I HATE to run) will be difficult with the chronic shin splints (sp?). I wonder if DDR would be a good option to alternate with. It's cardio and its fun. Ideas?
  • I try to count all of my calories, too. It helps me get a better picture and more accurate overview of my dietary health. If it seems monotanous (sp?) and you'd rather not eat them than count them then don't count them. It works better for me to count everything and count it as close to measuring it as I can w/o…
  • This site has been extremely helpful to me. I needed to lose weight and this site seems to be the major thing that is helping me along because I'm logging all of my food each day and trying to keep it in line with my daily requirements. It's a wonderful site and I'm SO INCREDIBLY grateful that it's free! Hang in there -…
  • I know what you mean. Remember that we all make mistakes and you do need to allow yourself food that you really enjoy. Hang in there. We're all struggling through the same things day to day. :flowerforyou:
  • I've thought about doing the c25k program but i HATE!!!!! to run. Has anyone else started it that hated running and ended up enjoying it???
  • That is awesome! I'm so proud of you!!! Keep up the hard work! You are an inspiration! :flowerforyou:
  • Congratulations! I hope to be there one day too! :flowerforyou:
  • I have celiac disease so my cereal choices are limited but, honestly, I prefer rice chex with a fresh banana cut up on top!:flowerforyou:
  • I'm with all of you. I've been working on this eating less/exercising thing since 7/25. I've lost 15 pounds and I seem to be stuck. I have lost inches but that seems to have stopped too. I'm losing heart and I had to go yesterday and buy some pants because the inside thighs of most of my other ones had worn holes in them…
  • I use pretty much the same recipe although I have made some alterations I use dark meat chicken because it is less 'tough' in the soup. I sometimes use celery seed in place of celery - some people like the flavor but don't like the celery. I like wavy noodles (although I have to use GFree noodles since we have celiac…
  • I'm intolerant of gluten as well. I always had trouble losing weight until I removed gluten from my diet in April of this year. We found out my daughter had it and then found out I have it. It does help a lot on the weight loss, though, because most breads are eliminated anyway  . I've found that I don't miss it…
  • Congratulations! I've lost 15 pounds and I have 85 to go. My goal is to lose a total of 50 by Christmas and the other 50 by July 20 of next year (my 20th anniversary) and, God willing, I am working at it! Yay for all of your hard work! You are an inspiration! :flowerforyou:
  • that does sound good! how much does this recipe make? 1 serving? 2? thanks! :flowerforyou:
  • Very interesting site! I 'knew' I was large framed (I have hands the size of my father's!) but had nothing 'official' until I measured my wrist circumference. Wow! It was 6.75 inches and I can touch my finger to my thumb! :flowerforyou:
  • I like EnerG tapioca bread toasted with a little bit of chive and onion cream cheese. Take that and put an egg sprinkled with garlic powder on it and its delicious! :flowerforyou:
