I use olive oil, almond oil, and coconut oil depending on the burning point I need. There is no such thing as low-fat oil or high-protein oil if that's what your last question was about. Oil is fat.

Oh, and my chest press is up to 60 lbs, overhead press 50 lbs, and single arm rows 30 lbs (also all 5x5s).

I'm doing 5x5s these days and I deadlifted 50lbs+bar and squatted 70lbs+bar yesterday. I was pretty happy with myself. (And I do not know the bar weight.) Like everyone else said, heavy means I can only just finish the 5th rep of each set.

I never talk about fitness or diet to anyone except my husband and my mfp friends. Girls, especially, think you're trying to hint to them that they need to lose weight if you say that you're getting in better shape. Best to leave that alone.

if you try to count stuff like shopping as exercise so that you can get extra calories, you're never going to lose weight. I'd take it as a bonus (if any calories were actually burned) and not log anything. When you actually work out by running or lifting weights or doing yoga then you should count extra calories burned…

I used to do that when I was more involved in the ED (Ana) world. They endorse having "thinspo" everywhere. It just made me feel sad and guilty... kind of the opposite of what I wanted. I'm doing something similar to stronglifts 5x5 from bodybuilder.com (it's essentially the same plan) and I love it. I can feel myself getting a lot stronger pretty quickly.

I have the exact same problem. I try to pretend my mom has tourettes or some other mental/emotional disability. It helps sometimes :)

Yep! My mom has thyroid disease, so I abstain from raw broccoli, which can induce hypothyroidism IF you are already predisposed. That article doesn't mention raw vs. cooked, but I've only heard bad things about raw broccoli.

I have a library of workout DVDs including dance, taebo, and yoga. They're perfect for bad weather days or working out really early/late. Also great for just mixing up my routine!

Oh, and you SHOULD be concerned with getting only 65% of the RDA. Iron deficiency causes fatigue, anemia, etc. You don't want that! If you don't eat meat, you should be extra aware of how much iron you're eating!

MFP says you need 100% not 100g. On most food labels, iron is given in percentage.
