The Deluxe program comes with 5 additional DVDs (Fire 60, Abs 10, HIIT 30 and Upper 20 and Lower 20), a resistance band, results and recovery formula and a Turbo Tracker. The basic/regular program only comes with the following workouts: Fire 30, HIIT 15, Fire 55 EZ, Core 20, Stretch 40, Stretch 10, Fire 45, HIIT 20, Fire…

So you got extra DVDs, but they're not the ones listed in the last 5 slots of the Turbo Fire carrying case, yes? Can you list the titles of the extra DVDs you did receive? It's possible that you got a set of Advanced DVDs from a different program. If you list them, I might be able to help. Also, if you haven't thrown away…

1. I'm currently following a 20-week hybrid rotation of ChaLean Extreme and Turbo Fire, so I'm combining strength training (generally 3 days/week), some HIIT, and a cardio kickboxing routine on other days. In addition, I do a lot of extra stretching. I have 3 dogs who need walked as well, so they generally get walked 6 or…

Anyone Turbo Kick certified or considering it? I'm going to my certification training in October...CAN'T WAIT!

Push Circuit 2 today....was BRUTAL!

I think in Core Synergistics during the lunges Tony says, "Break time" and then in less than half a second later says, "Break time's over."

I did the same thing...most of the sugar I eat comes from natural fruits, not processed foods. I'm tracking my sodium instead which is KILLING me. One stinking serving of pretzels destroys me!

I'm in week 5 of the 20-week hybrid that Chalene created...LOVE IT!

ChaLean Extreme...3 days/week of strength training, 2 days/week of cardio...will REALLY reshape your body. Message me if you'd like more info!! : )

You know, everyone hates yoga X (okay, not everyone, but most people), and I find that most people don't like it because it's slow and difficult. So, most want to do something in it's place. Seriously, though...it's probably one of the best workouts of the bunch. Sure, you can lift weights and get strong and leap through…

Whatever you get, make SURE you're getting a proper shoe for the fitness program. A running shoe would not be a good choice for Turbo Fire because the cushioning isn't in the right places. You need a cross-trainer type shoe. My favorite, which may not work for you, is the Saucony Grid Virtue. It's the only trainer that…

I weigh 172 and my daily 'burn' according to my Bodybugg is right around 3000 calories. To get that, I generally walk the dogs for 75 minutes and do 45-60 minutes of cardio. I have a slightly lower 'burn' on strength training days. Today I did nothing...I really had a true rest day, and just putzing around the house and…

I just take my daily total from myfitnesspal and create one 'food' that I call "calories 8/2" and enter in all the macronutrient information for the entire day under that one entry.

As a teacher who doesn't give candy or treats AT ALL in school (mainly because if they're in my room, I would eat them!), I REALLY wish parents would speak out against this more often. I see treats used more and more as extrinsic motivators for kids, and I think it's total B.S. And you're right, it's part of the problem!

I'm a middle school teacher, and I'm absolutely appalled at what my students bring to school (from home) to eat during lunch. The school cafeteria menu also leaves a LOT to be desired. Truly, it's a huge issue. Just basing this on personal experience, but I would venture to guess that 40-50% of the 8th graders that I teach…

My cousin, when her first child was 4 years old, came into her room as she was primping in front of a full-length mirror. He walked up to her, poked her in the bum, and said, "Mommy's fat." How's that for encouragement?

Eat CLEAN...if you've never read it, this would be a fantastic time to read Tosca Reno's book, "The Eat Clean Diet Recharged."

While not a 'food,' Arnica is a fantastic anti-inflammatory. I use it whenever I need to take an NSAID. You can find the dissolvable tablets (you put them under your tongue) at most herbal or specialty health food stores.

Chia seed is, well, it's a seed used to make Chia pets. Seriously, it is! However, the seed itself is an excellent source of fiber and Omega 3s (smaller source of Omega 6 and Omega 9). I get mine at www.nutsonline.com and here's a link to the nutsonline page that explains some of the other benefits:…

Make your own protein bars, that way you know EXACTLY what is in it. If you peruse the recipe sections, I posted a recipe for them awhile ago (I think as Clean Eating Protein Bars). If you're interested, and can't find it, send me a message and I'll send you the recipe.

First off, bravo to you for allowing the MFP world to see your food diary. That, in itself, can be a brave thing, especially when we're new on this journey. I'm a teacher, and I REFUSE to eat in the school cafeteria, so quick meals that I can throw into my lunchbox and scarf down in 20 minutes during my lunch period are a…

It's a good alternative to a recovery drink (not necessarily a protein drink), as most chocolate milks have a 3 or 4:1 carbohydrate to protein ratio. It's that ratio that is key to it being used for 'recovery.' Don't know the 'validity' to this article, but it's worth a read:…

Whatever you do, get a good pair of cross-trainers, NOT running shoes. The best trainers I've had of late are Saucony Grid Virtues. It's the only cross-trainer that Saucony makes. LOVE THEM. Good cushioning and great lateral support.

I realize that you have goals, and you don't want those goals interrupted or push backwards, but you HAVE to listen to your body. If you don't, you may end up doing more damage and thus being forced to 'sit out' for weeks or months. You know this, otherwise you wouldn't be posting this. Take a few days, rest, watch your…

You know, now that you mention this, I realized that at 235 and at 195, I wore the same pants. That's a 40 lb. weight different, and those 'big 16s' (I really should've been wearing an 18) were still functional articles of clothing that didn't make me want to pass out buttoning them up. When I dropped to 190, still in…

Had 30 pounders in each hand during ChaLean Extreme Push Circuit 1 today...funny thing, the heavier I lift, the smaller I get.
-
OMG...you sound like me, except I'm 39 and I was in the 190-200 weight category (for years). I'm now 170ish (and getting smaller), down from 204 in April 2009, and what did it for me was strength training regularly 3 days/week. And I don't mean little 5 lb. dumbbells, I mean some SERIOUS strength training. I did P90X and…

I pretty much get two hours of exercise 6 days/week, and on my 'rest day,' I still get an hour of walking in. I have 3 dogs, and dogs, like people, need exercise as well. In addition, I walk each of my dogs separately because I feel they need some 'alone and individual' time with their human. So, 25 minute walks for each =…

I was a HUGE Diet Coke drinker up until 18 months ago. When I decided to start this fitness journey, I went in full steam ahead, and gave up the soda. I will admit, however, that I do drink one cup of coffee every morning (plain and black), and water the remainder of the day. However, I recently ran across this very…

I didn't care for his demeanor in Hip Hop Abs, either, and I find it interesting how TOTALLY different his demeanor is in the Insanity program. He's all business, hard core, and serious as can be...
