Become a teacher...after a year in that germ laden environment you'll have built up a resistance to colds and the like to be proud of! One thing that one of my teacher co-workers swears by is changing his pillowcase every night. Swears by it.

Plus, you can WIN STUFF for logging your workouts! I won an I-pod Touch and $300 last year!!!!!!

I do...I'm there as NancySchwert!

Cathe Friedrich's HIIT workouts...30 minutes....there's 3 on one DVD and are all great. www.cathe.com

I'm an 8th grade Language Arts teacher...I pack my lunch and make homemade protein bars that I can scarf down during class change. Home by 3:30, and hitting the streets with my dogs by 4:00 and workout at 4:30. One thing I had to force myself to do is stop staying late at school...I leave now at 3:00...no ifs and or buts…

Cathe Friedrich is VERY good (www.cathe.com).

Don't be afraid to use a heavier resistance band in the Sculpt and Tone workouts with Turbo Fire. I find the orange band that came with the program to be a bit too 'light' so I use a maroon one that just about kills me, but gets great results.

As a previous posted stated, don't be surprised if one day that toenail falls off because a new one had been growing underneath. If you bruised it really badly, that's generally what happens. Lost both of mine one winter when I was fitted into ski boots that were TOTALLY not for my foot type. After 30 days of agony (and a…

Classic all the way. I believe that "lean" is misnamed. It really should be called "P90X-lite" because it does not contain more cardio than classic P90X. I chose Lean for my first round because I was REALLY out of shape and felt that it was more 'doable' in my current level of fitness. It was a good choice for me because…

In addition, ACV also helps keep your body's Ph in balance which has tremendous long term health benefits. I drink Braggs, 2T mixed in my morning glass of water.

4th round, week #6.

Rest, rest, rest...took mine 2 weeks to stop being ridiculously painful. During that time, I iced, took anti-inflammatories (advil) and stretched, stretched, stretched. Lots of calf stretches as that, from what I understand, is what contributes to the flare up in the first place. Best stretch I found was once the lower…

OMG...Turbo Fire FOR SURE!!!

I'm a big hipped girl and I've decided that while I can get them a bit smaller, the rest of my body will become smaller as well and I'll still have biggish hips. IMO, the only way to truly become a small hipped girl is to have different parents who gave you different genetics!! : P

Turbo Fire has much more intensity than Turbo Jam. On average, I get a 100 calorie burn every 10 minutes. I also find after the shorter HIIT workouts that my average resting calorie/minute burn (according to my bodybugg) stays elevated for quite awhile as well. I'm also doing a hybrid right now of P90X and Turbo Jam, and…

Taking measurements is very important for one major reason...at times when you feel as though you've hit a weight loss plateau, that isn't exactly the case. When you increase your lean muscle mass, you may find from time to time that your weight on the scale weighs the same. However, this is because you may have build some…

It took me until my TWENTIETH (yes, 20th) week of P90X (so, well into my 2nd round) to finally appreciate and feel good about yoga X. I was a mess the first 6 weeks of it! That said, I kept pushing play every week and I did get stronger and more flexible. I also found that yoga really helped build my upper body strength…

I have dogs that need walked every day. I get home from work by 3:30, have a snack and catch up on e-mail, walk the dogs from 4:30-5:30 and push play on my P90X workout right after the dogwalk.

If you want to continue using your investment in the P90X program, why not try the "Lean" rotation of DVDs? When I did my first round of P90X, there was no way I would have been successful if Chest and Back and PlyoX had been my first two workouts. I would've failed big time. With the Lean rotation (which I really think is…

MODIFY and follow Pam (the blam!)

I get well over 11,000 each day (my target) if I go to work, workout, and walk my dogs for at least 30 minutes.

I'm signed up for the Georgia dash.

I add 1-2T of Bragg's to 16 oz. of water and guzzle it down while my breakfast is cooking.

My breakfast is my biggest meal of the day, so is generally just over 450 calories. I do use instant oatmeal (and I eat two packets, so 2 servings), so it's plain, but I mix it with ground flax seed, chia seed, cinnamon and vanilla protein powder. I eat at 5:30 in the morning and eat lunch with the kiddos that I teach at…

I couldn't do a single push up on my toes until week #6 of my first round of P90X. Do them on your knees and each week, try to start on your toes and then drop to the knees when you can't do anymore. You'll be surprised how quickly you progress. With regards to ab ripper, I found that it was my hip flexors that failed on…

I personally love it. It does lack a bit of the flavor of full fledged peanut butter, but in reality it's the real deal minus the calories and fat. What they do is squeeze the peanuts in a press...the oil is removed (along with a large portion of the fat and calories). What you have left is PB2. It's okay when…

I think it's a great program...my husband isn't interested AT ALL in it. So, I go it alone...and that's okay with me. The three biggest issues I see regularly with P90X and couples: 1. Equipment--be sure you have enough equipment for both of you to successfully do the program together 2. Time--P90X takes between 60-90…

If you have an Earth Fare store near you, I buy their brand called "Show Me the Whey." Made with Stevia and the whey protein is manufactured from cows that are not given rBGH (an artificial growth hormone).

The first place where you put the fat on is generally the last place where you're going to take it off. Sad, but true.

Honestly, I see the Lean rotation more as a P90X-Lite version and not necessarily a rotation that is more cardio focused. If you are really out of shape and intimidated by a ton of pushups and pullups on day #1, I would go with Lean. I was scared to death of day #1 classic because I could not do a single push up on my…
