It's actually a range. Its 1.5-2.2g/kg of weight. Just don't overthink it and train hard.

So depending how the rest of the day, this could also work for keto at only 24g of carbs. Otherwise, just have a keto friendly roll or go bunless. Smoked bbq pork on a bbq cheddar cheese burger, topped with ghughes hickory bbq sauce.

Just to point out, collagen peptides are some of the worst sources of proteins. The amino acids profile is pretty bad from my muscle protein synthesis perspective. Whey/casein would be better since the OP is low on protein and probably already consuming suboptimal sources of protein. Overall, animal sources of protein are…

I suspect it was someone scrolling.

I am at the *kitten* is phase lol. Just trying to focus on healthy foods and get in good workouts. I have been traveling a lot for work so staying on point with a diet is difficult.

Oh don't get me wrong, i fully understand the differences. Hell I run a keto diet for cutting, but as a whole, carbs are superior in every instance when it comes to athletic performance. Even with being adapted, i never get my strength back and its a 25% reduction. That is pretty substainal. I have even dabbled with CKD…

I believe the last article i saw suggested he carb loads 72 hours ahead. Given glycogen resynthesis rates, that would make sense.
-
OP, i would save your money.

Very few athletes truly run the ketogenic diet and its limited to endurance athletes. And even those endurance athletes will carb load before events. Ketones require more oxygen to create ATP so its rather inefficient. And while exogenous ketones may be effective for divers and can raise ketone levels, they don't increase…

Trying something new out tonight. Smoked salmon and cream cheese omelette... It was quite good. Super filling

I think they are looking at when some threads were created, not when the last response was.

Smoked carnitas! Absolutely amazing. This wws better than any restaurant i have been to.

So i broke and went back to keto. No matter my macro split, if I wasn't in ketosis, my hunger was just too much and resulted into eating sweets making it difficult for me to lose the weight. I guess ill just have to take a performance hit to lose the fat.

Quick, yet super filling dinner. I breakfast for dinner a lot.

If it makes you guys/gals feel better, IF is not going well. So i am trying for a leane breakfast and lunch witha more moderate dinner. I am just such a 3x meal person

If you aren't gaining weight, you need more calories. In general, a program focused on hypertrophy will be beneficial. So something with reps in the 6-15 rep range and hitting muscles 2-3x a week. Without knowing specific goals, its hard to make a recommendation. If you can provide more details on your goals that would…

Outside of what others said, Bret Contreras has great information even though he is focused on glutes.

All good advice. And i certainly agree with a more sustainable approach. But as it relates to the anabolic diet. Its a named coined by Greg Douchette and his crew. It's a high protein diet which incorporates protein at each meal and promotes a flexibility in the diet. In general, their videos tend to have low calorie high…

ironically that is the method I am going to try and implement. I also might skip breakfast

So work is now crazy. I am practically traveling every other week. So it looks like i will need to change my strategy to account for that. Kind of sucks.

I think you could also find a similar stories with plant based dieters and vegans. How many that fall into those categories have iron deficiencies or have seen b12 deficiencies? In my experience, i see more plant based dieters with these ailments than people following keto with other ailments. At most i have seem keto flu…

There are a few things that helped my hunger. 1. Volume foods, 2. Lots of protein and 3. Ketogenic. If you do a carb based diet, i have to include a lot of low calorie plants and lean meats. Things like dark leafy greens, low sugar fruits (berries, watermelon, kiwi, plums) and lean proteins, especially red meat like…

You can disagree with me and that is fine. But my recommendations are based on evidence not a personal belief from following a diet. Your recommendations are based on personal belief and your experience. That is a potential risk you can take. Telling someone else to follow your prescribed diet and follow your beliefs could…

Its like you don't even know me 🤣.

First, the OP only noted that she was on an anti inflammatory diet. If she is diabetic, i would agree a diet free of grains and/or lower carb would be beneficial. Second, your first three links all replace sfa with crappy high omega 6 corn oil. I would ask where are you going with that. We all know highly concentrated…

Overall that doesn't appear to be too bad. If you want, try to increase fiber and replace saturated fats with unsaturated sources. Add things like chia seeds, avocado, fish/seafood, focusing on leaner cuts, and incorporating fresh berries could help. When i did this, i saw a 30 point improvement in my LDL, even while…

Can you provide any meta analysis or RCTs showing a beneficial effect for SFA? At least with grains, there is mixed evidence.. several meta analysis supoort the consumption of grains as an anti inflammatory. But even in the mixed evidence, there is zero evidence saying grains are bad. The worse is they are neutral. And…

In general, the data i have seen suggest very little difference in metabolic health with any approach given weight loss is equal. So regardless of the spectrum a person falls in, it really doesn't matter. Ultimately compliance is the only thing that matter.

Best of luck!
