All my keto recipes are inherently gluten free. I'll send it over.

I missed a few words. I updated them.

In all reality, you can certainly incorporate treats in a keto diet but be very careful. Often good keto treats are calorie bomms, except my pumpkin spice muffins 😉. But in the end, if you are always trying to incorporate treats and not focusing on developing good eating habits, there is a bigger underlying issue that…

Don't mind me, just dropping in with some delicious keto desserts.

Mono diets will increase the chances of some deficiencies. The reason bodybuilders did these foods was it was an easy way to calculate calories while cutting for a competition. You definitely want to incorporate more variety so you can get achieve adequate vitamin, mineral and fiber consumption (25g+ for a male)

Personally, while i think the Mediterranean Diet isna very good one, if you are focusing on whole foods (which can include red meat), consuming plenty of fruits and veggies, and whole grains, while losing weight and exercise, then you will be in a good place. Where i find people "fail", regardless of the diet they follow,…

Oh i am on the same page. When i go for weight loss, i so "diet hacks" quite often. I replace eggs with egg beaters. I grill more often and don't make sauces, etc...

Any good cook will say fat is flavor. There is definitely a reason for it.

Yea, that is a bit of a stretch. It seems like she was using her doctor status to sell you something. I would have a discussion with a GP and they can evaluate your full panel. If there is concerns, you can be sent to a lipidologist for a deeper evaluation. And yes, you can certainly have a meal that a less healthy once in…

I would definitely go to another doctor. And 1g of sat fats are fine. The larger concern is fried and processed foods are they lack nutrients. I would look into the Mediterranean Diet. Focusing on lean meats, eggs, whole grains/oats, fruits and veggies (especially avocado), fish, seeds and nuts, and limiting processed…

I officially hit an all time low weight since middle school today. Came in at 163.9. i have never seen this number. And the refeed has begun.... Bring me all the carbs!!!

Splenda and super creamer (sweet cream) or Baileys.

I would definitely ask for a referral for a dietician. But generally a diet like the Mediterranean Diet might be a better approach, especially so you don't become deficient in protein and fats. A diet high in fish and other omega 3 fatty acids are cardio protective, and so are other healthy fats like avocado, chia seeds,…

I am starting to think you really don't understand the concepts of actual bulking and cutting. There are many people in this forum alone who have actually bulked with little fat gains. Given proper nutrition, a small to moderate surplus, and proper training, you can make really good gains without impacting your health. Its…

I stand by my statement. You are overgeneralizating without considering the factors. A good recomp can take years and consistency. It's often something people cannot sustain. The most successful recomps I have seen have taken 2 years. Aint no body got time for that *kitten*. And even then, you have to be ok with being a…

Bacon ranch chicken with avocado.

You have to consider one's goals and current physique before making such a statement. If one has a good muscle base and already lean, then a recomp may work. But if a person is under-muscled than a bulk is going to be ideal. Bulking isn't just eating donuts all day long. It does involve eating a well balanced diet.

This weekend will be my first refeed. Going to aim for 350g carbs with 40 grams of fat and 165g protein. Overall between work altering my work shift to start at 430am, i am a bit warn. And i have been dieting for 3 weeks, so its time. My next refeed with be Thanksgiving and black friday. Below is a small physique update. I…

That is terrible advice given the OPs goals. It's perfectly healthy for non drug users to bulk. If they stayed at their current weight, he would only be a slightly more muscular version of his current self. That is often not what people want. If i took your advice, I would never reach my goals.

You can friend me. I do keto and love to cook. I post a lot of photos in the lc group. So if there is something you see, you can PM me.

My preferred protein powder is PEScience and Quest. All the plant based ones i have tried are pretty terrible. But i wouldn't be surprised if there was a good one out there that i haven't tried.

Happy Taco Tuesday. I don't care who you voted for, i voted for more tacos!!!

Trending is back in a good place. Sitting at 164.1 and tomorrow is my official weigh in. I suspect compliance is why, but ketogenic just works for me for cutting. Thinking of doing a refeed soon since energy has been a little low.

Gotta make it pretty for FB and IG 🤣

Let's not forget that its very easy to get a ton of calories eating keto, especially if you focus on very high fat food. A lot of people assume more fat, the better, but before you know it, you are eating 400 calories of butter. I am one who can destroy food. If i ate "traditional" keto foods, I'd weight 250 lbs. And even…

OP, I flip between keto (ckd) and fairly high carb. I run CKD when i cut weight and high carb during maintenance. I do this while focusing on whole foods. On keto, its veggies, lean meats, low GI fruits, fish, nuts/seeds, dairy and some oils. On high carb its more oats, more fruit, high fiber whole grains, lean meats,…
