  • I believe the activity level has to do with your everyday activities that are not your workouts, so if you aren't overly active outside of doing INSANITY, then go ahead and do light active. Are you just starting INSANITY or have you been doing it for awhile? How do you like it?
  • I agree with what the others have said; just do what you can and allow yourself to get stronger. That being said, if you really, really feel like you are struggling, you could go back and do another week or two of month one. As far as the R&R goes, it isn't totally necessary and is really better as an after workout drink,…
  • Hey, I'm in central Iowa too! :)
  • Haven't even heard of that until now but it looks like it would be great! And Jamie is pretty awesome too. I'm going to look at it even more & might add it to my workouts in one way or another. Let me know if you end up deciding for sure to start it, okay?
  • Did TurboFire Fire 45 & Sculpt 30. That's all for me today but tomorrow is going to be some MAJOR CALORIE BURNING! Will do my own workout at home, teach a Body Sculpt class & 2 personal training appointments :)
  • I'm doing it too, just recommitted to it & plan on starting it full force on Sept. 1st. Always great to have more Turbo buddies!!! Definitely one of my absolute favorites of all time. Excited to see how it goes for the whole program & what kind of results I get from it :)
  • That is such a great tip!!!! Thank you so much for sharing. And Kathy Smith is definitely great, isn't she?
  • I actually didn't realize that mine was set to private & just changed it to public a little while ago!
  • Hey Jackie! I've been doing it off & on & am going to be starting a 90 Day Challenge that includes TurboFire among other workouts. Would love to connect with you!
  • Mine is set at just over 1200 too, but that, realistically, is probably a little too low. Women shouldn't go below 1200 at the minimum, because below that, we hit that famine state & our bodies will hold onto fat & use the muscle for nourishment. And our muscle is key to keep our metabolism up! So if you feel that the 1200…
  • What would you say your fitness level is right now? They both are a great cardio workout, but TurboFire is a bit more intense. I've done both though & absolutely love them & Chalene too!
  • Let's get some more peeps on board! Your workouts can be whatever you choose, just commit to doing them for 90 days. The more, the merrier & the more to keep us all accountable! Who else is in???
  • Way to go, mommachef! Feels pretty good, I bet!
  • I've been using Shakeology for quite awhile now. It's a good protein source, is considered raw (nothing heated over 115 degrees), has no artificial or fake anything in it & scores a 97 on www.foodfacts.com. I think that if a protein powder has artificial colors, flavors or ingredients in it, someone that wants to be a…
  • Agree!!! But, I do like the Ezekial bread toasted with some Earth Balance & honey. Not crazy about it untoasted though.
  • Awesome you guys! Love it! Who else wants to join us?
  • I'm @RebeccaIngham there too. Love chatting with friends on Twitter & sharing some of my trials & lessons & tips I've learned along the way! Let me know you are from MFP if you follow me. Then I can follow you back too!
  • I'm definitely a smoothie person too. Depending on what kind of blender you have, you can add lots of fruit and veggies to it and make a great smoothie that tastes great. Big salads are good too, but if you aren't much of a veggie person yet, that might be a bit much. As far as dairy goes, I'm in the camp that believes if…
  • Yeah, RevAbs isn't quite as extreme as Insanity or P90X, but it's still a dang good workout. Kinda boils down to what you are looking for. I'd say it's more of a moderate workout with the potential of extreme moments (when you go into the Rev Zone). Brett really loves his Capoeira and I really like his training style too.…
  • Oh man, really chartel? Just when I think I know everything.... Guess I'll have to be finishing up my tea collection & start over. I do like to make it with loose tea, but still gravitate towards the bags for some reason.
  • That's so cool that you are giving making it a shot. I keep thinking about doing it myself, but haven't taken the plunge. Too hooked on GT's (man is that stuff good!), but boy can it get expensive! Would love to hear how it goes for you.... Maybe your results could convince me to go for doing it myself! :)
  • Good advice all around! I'd also consider, how many miles do you think you've put on those shoes? You should replace them after around 500 miles (this includes if you are even wearing them for just every day use). I realized this last summer when I ran a 20K for the first time and had a terrible time with my right foot…
  • I have RevAbs & do like the workouts. I haven't done it for the 90 days, so as far as results go, I can't comment on that, but it is a killer workout! What have you heard about it so far?

  • Yep, you definitely burn more calories just being alive, than we might realize. There are lots of was to get a ballpark figure of what your BMR is, but you can find it here under the "Tools" tab up at the top of the page. I think of it as money in the bank everyday & we get to spend it or save it. And, every time we…
  • If you are up that late, you can still eat until around 3 hours before you go to bed. And, make later meals more protein based instead of carb based. Keeps you full longer & helps keep you from wanting to eat. Also, drink more water; dehydration often times masks itself as hunger, so when we think we are hungry, sometimes…
