  • So funny! But, really, a mob of Kangaroos? Wow!
  • @runner_girl83 thanks. I will try some exercises — i have been stretching more often recently @WhatmeRunning thanks for the comment. I had the pain on and off for a while and visited a sports doctor and a physical therapist. They were not too concerned—did not think i had tendinitis. But thought i needed to strengthen the…
  • to all experienced runners. A question. So, I ran for ten miles yesterday. It was somewhat slow, 8:45 pace. I had such a good time running. However, I had heel and achilles tightness and pain in both feet. I iced both most for the day. Pain was a 7 or an 8 for a few hours when I walk, but because of the icing (me thinks),…

Thanks @Stoshew71 I wanted so bad to work on base building. Am not sure Stan will support…
  • Happy new year everybody. I had a less than hoped for December, 52.4/80, but did as much as possible under the circumstances (too busy, injury, etc.). This month I am in for 70 miles. 1/1 5.6--mostly on streets because of snow and ice on not-well-shoveled sidewalks. good start though.
  • I'm totally in! Thanks @Stoshew71 and @skippygirlsmom

  • @runner_girl83 sound like good presents. I bought my wife a fitbit charge hr for her birthday in the beginning of december and that was interesting: in a couple of days she/we discovered that her resting heart rate is actually very high :( between 100 and 120. nothing particularly dangerous in the tests and we don't know…

  • @kareF excellent question and i enjoyed looking at the different ways that people got into running. I never ran before i was 53. Started when i was diagnosed with diabetes :( i loved it, but ended up quitting in four months (I had a knee injury and had no experience with running or connection with runners to understand the…

  • I officially have achellies tendinitis :( I think I just caused it by playing soccer really hard this past Sunday and not taking enough time off to rest. Any words about how serious something like this is? how imperative it is that I not run or run slow or run little? I did access so much information on the web--like what…

And, here is to you and to the best outcome! 11/1 4.71…
