I just have to say, I am very conservative, but find the opposite to be true about close minded people. Most liberals I talk to are extremely close minded. You can see from my previous response that I think the OP is very intelligent for making a decision that's right for them. People sound cloud close minded when they…

That's ridiculous! You made a very responsible decision for yourself. If a person truly doesn't want a kid and don't think they'd be a good parent, it would be cruel to the child if they were guilted into having a baby. A lot of people should really consider what it means to have a baby and what it means to be a parent and…

I say "fixin to" all the time! My husband makes fun of me every time though. I also say used to could (usedtacould). Ex: "can you do a handstand? No, but I used to could." Another phrase my husband makes fun of.

I'm from Texas and use this word multiple times a day. We also have a plural version (I know y'all is already plural) "all y'all". When you say y'all to a group, you might only be talking to two of the five people, but if you say "all y'all" then all five of them know you're talking to them.

Thank you all! You're all very sweet.

You look AMAZING! I love your story.

I started off walking a lot and then progressed to running. Now I'm lifting along with running a few times a week.
-
It's the new rules of lifting for women. I'm reading the book and going to start its strength training program next week.
-
Thank you all so much! It's taken me 15 months to lose this weight, but there were definitely some lazy months that I didn't lose anything. In the beginning I was eating a vegan diet. I did that for 7 months along with walking for exercise, but I started having health issues and read more about it and saw that vegan wasn't…

ok, it should be fixed.
-
I'm working on it. I know I did it right so just trying to figure out what's going on

This!! Your kids are not going to starve. They will eat if they are hungry and it's best to start healthy habits early because as you know, they're so hard to change later.

Thank you for all the information. I think I'll pick this book up. I'm not sure if I'll follow the books recommendation for food or calories just because I spent a crapload of money (insurance wouldn't cover it) on testing to find out why my hormones and adrenal gland is out of whack. I'm going to be following my doctors…
-
If you're also recommending it, maybe I should give it a chance. I wonder if it's available on the kindle.
-
I've read from many different women that it's pretty confusing and difficult to get started. Did you find this to be true or is it plain and simple? Do I have to read the entire book before I can start working out or can I read as I go?
-
I have a hormone imbalance and my adrenal glands all messed up. My body just immediately stores carbs, but my doctor is about to put me on supplements and have me eating mostly protein, vegetables, and fruit. My body just doesn't react normal to carbs the way it's supposed to.

This makes me so angry! When I hear crap like this, it really brings out my horrible side and makes me want to find those boys and give them all a swift kick in the nads. You seem to have a pretty good attitude about it though. I am so sorry this happened to you. I have been singled out while walking and made fun of too.

I am 5'7", do cardio 3 days a week, strength training 3 days a week, and eat 1300-1400 calories a day and I do not eat back my exercise calories. I asked my doctor (who specializes in functional medicine and helps people lose weight in a healthy way) if I was eating enough and she said I'm fine. I'm am not hungry at the…

I think it is very doable. I'm thinking about moving in that direction soonish. I get obsessive about numbers too and I don't need anything else to be obsessed with.

I've got another one. I HATE the word hubby. It is so stupid. No, he is not my hubby; he is my husband.
-
Cluster. such a nasty word!

If the person has actually been HEALTHY and not just fit looking, then that is a success. That being said, you probably won't find tons of people saying "awesome job! You're amazing!" if someone comes on here and says "I've never been fat, or underweight, and I've always been in great physical shape." It would sound like…

I'm 5'7" and 196lbs and I wear a size 14 jeans/dress, but they're getting big on me and I can almost fit into my old size 12 shorts, and my top is a size large depending on the brand. Some places I can get away with wearing a medium, but usually my boobs make me go up to a large.

That's why I use my chiropractor who practices functional medicine. They are all about true health instead of medicine and can help in this area. Plus, a lot of chiropractors have a degree in nutrition as well.

Pistol Pete is my favorite. Used to watch it every year before I played basketball to get me pumped.
