  • I've taken two...a childbirth prep class, and a newborn prep class. They were both kind of helpful. They helped us prepare as far as knowing relaxation techniques and what to do when labor actually starts. I've heard that breastfeeding classes are VERY helpful, but I've been procrastinating on signing up for one. Since I'm…
  • You poor girls! I've been having a lot of contractions this morning. I still have 13 days til I'm due, but hoping it's a sign that baby is progressing. I wish my job wasn't so sedentary. I'd be taking a walk to try to get things moving if I could!!! My husband is pretty convinced that baby will come this week...but I'm…
  • Kalyrra- I'm guessing the 11th or 12th for me too! My husband thinks this weekend, but i highly doubt that. I think he just has some wishful thinking. I went for my 37 week appt today, and no progress since last week
  • I have been having similar sounding pains...I've heard it called "lightening crotch" and I get why! It is such a sharp sudden pain for me! I'm 36 w tomorrow, and actually having a normal feeling contraction as I type this. Ow!
  • I am having BH like crazy! Yesterday on our hike, I had to stop several times because of it. I think my baby has also made his/her descent a few days ago. I'm also having a lot of pressure down low, and feeling like I have to pee constantly. I think we're so prepared because this is our first, and we have too much time on…
  • Ladies!!!!! We are having our babies next month! I can't wait! How is everyone doing? Right now, I feel like a whale. I went for an easy hike with my husband yesterday evening, and although my feet hurt, it felt wonderful to get out of the house and get some fresh air. We did about 3-4 miles. Sleep has been okay. I get up…
  • Exactly this for me. Now at 33 weeks, it feels like someone is pushed their hand against my ribs, and it's pretty dang uncomfortable. I still get some twitches down low where the hands are though :blushing:
  • A guy called me a "fat c*nt" when i weighed about 160 and wore a size 8.
  • YES!! I'm 32.5 weeks now and I can't wait to not be pregnant anymore. The baby's kicks aren't really that cute anymore, more like an annoying grinding feeling in the back of my ribs. I just want to hold my baby. Also, we aren't finding out the gender, so that is also killing me. Obviously, I am sooo thankful and happy…
  • This sounds like a completely horrible relationship, and a horrible role model for your son. I sincerely hope that you leave him for your own sake, and the sake of your son.
  • I'm keeping my calories at maintenance. I started around the same weight as you. So far I've gained 17lb at 31.5 weeks. My goal is to not gain more than 20, but I think 25 is more realistic at this point. Some moms on here are eating at a deficit, but my doctor advised me not to.
  • I'm 30 weeks: Here are the things I can't stand- Chicken, just the thought of it turns my stomach, Anything BBQ, vegetables. Weird things I crave: Cheese (ask anyone who knows me and they will be so shocked by this!) Bread with margarine spread on it. I eat a slice a day probably. I always want ice cream too, but I think…
  • Congratulations!!! Due October 19 here. I just have to say, it's really cool to see a due date that far after my baby. It makes me feel like I've come a long way in this pregnancy! lol
  • Welcome to the Third Trimester everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So excited to be here! Due Oct 19th. How is the last stretch of pregnancy treating everyone??
  • Can't wait to hear your update! We decided not to find out the gender, and it's killing me! October can't get here soon enough!
  • Does it mean right side of the scan or right side of your uterus? I want to try this.
  • I just looked this program up. It looks really good! How much does this cost?
  • H&M has pretty cheap tank tops!
  • 165-185 for size 12, I'm 5'7"
  • Not sure if you have Comcast...but they have some really nice prenatal yoga classes on OnDemand. I also ordered Tracey Anderson's "The Pregnancy Project" it is okay...Some people LOVE it though. It is a little too intense for my hips/knees because it involves about 40 minutes of kneeling. The good thing about her workout…
  • Congratulations!!!! I am a first time mom as well (due in October) so no advice, but welcome to the group! I have gotten a lot of support here.
  • That doesn't sound right to me. It would seem nearly impossible to not gain ANYTHING the last SEVENTEEN weeks of pregnancy. That is a very long time, and baby is gaining rapidly now. Also, if you're feeling lightheaded the risk of falling is much scarier than gaining a few extra pounds, in my opinion. PS I also have 17…
  • I used my pre-pregnancy measurements, and I'm 4.5 sizes smaller than I thought (Currently 23 weeks preg). Although, I think by pictures I'm much closer to the size I guessed! hmmm
  • For me, it lasted until about 12 weeks. But, I think I had a pretty mild case compared to other moms. For some reason, potatoes were the only thing that helped. Eating a baked potato for lunch settled my stomach for a little while. I hope it ends soon :flowerforyou:
  • geieram@udmercy.edu Or you can search my name on fb if that doesn't work. Amanda Starkey in Denver, CO
  • Thanks for the support ladies. I talked with my husband about it last night, and he said there is no way we are sending our baby to a day care center. We are beginning the process of looking for an in-home sitter. If all else fails, I will have to cut back to part time after baby comes, and switch onto my husband's…
  • Just wanted to share for what it's worth...I am 5' 6.5" and this was me around 180lb. I thought that weight looked pretty good on me! I was very healthy and active a this time, and I felt great about myself. For me 175 would be a very acceptable goal weight, and I hope to get there again once this baby is born. To each…
  • My mom always said losing weight for her was like emptying a dumptruck with a teaspoon. But she got there! Also 69 lb is an amazing accomplishment. Good for you!
  • I finished my first bottle of Red Blend last night (it took 3 days) and was very happy. The chardonnay is waiting for me in my fridge! Can't wait to enjoy a glass while assembling the baby's dresser/changing table tonight. I'm going to need it I think!
  • Feel free to add me! I'm not a religious logger, but i love using this site for advice and motivation.
