"[(img]appropriate location of picture on the internet[(/img]" "img" must be in lowercase -- if you're using photobucket, you have to change their code to lowercase -- take out the "(" only way it would show the code Lunch tomorrow: double swiss paleo turkey burger (portabello mushrooms for the bun), and roasted veggies.

Really? Because I do, too. I don't have those bad boys.

More food: My version of shrimp ramen w/shirataki noodles (the roomie bought them and never ate them) Grilled swordfish with mushroom sauce, and roasted veggies Grilled wild salmon (surprised about the difference from farm raised), cauliflower, and roasted veggies Roasted mushrooms, garlic, zucchini, and onion Lunch last…

keep on tracking, ladies. you're doing great!

Check in: It was a good weekend overall. I hung out with friends and rang in my new year right, with a scale victory. Thought I'd give myself a treat and have carne asada chips ... well that won't be happening again (heartburn city - boo!). Otherwise, made decent choices and was at work on time despite an earlier start…

@megan, as long as the scale keeps going down (and even if it doesn't), as long as you're working towards your goal, you should be proud of yourself. 229.6 pounds! I started @ 251, and reached my goal of 20lbs before my birthday (it's tomorrow), so I feel pretty accomplished!

I started a new job this week so I haven't been able to keep up this week. Success for the week was that the company provided lunch for us trainees on Thursday and Friday (which was super nice of them), but I was certain that it would not be within my eating restrictions, so I made sure to pack a lunch just in case for…

Wow, this week went by fast! Maybe only because I'm employed now, and spend 40 hours out of my home ... any who, keeping the cardio strong for "rest week"

Look for challenges on this website through some of the groups -- look for Garlic7Girl (she has group called a challenge a day), or join fitocracy and there are groups on there that have workouts. I'm actually about to develop a workout plan myself. As for push-ups, start on your knees, work on form, do different types,…

Lunch tomorrow includes chicken salad on baby romaine: Dinner tonight was paleo shrimp tacos, with (what else?) roasted veggies:

@Robin - Thank you! @Helen - Eff it. You don't owe her any explanation. Don't stress yourself out over other people's pettiness. If she wants to talk ish, let that be her thing. You remain the kind, sensitive person you are. You have other things to worry about that directly affect your life, like your husband's possible…

Last message I received from her was that she was having a hard time, personally and staying motivated on MFP. Hopefully, she will return to the community when she is ready. I didn't post yesterday, but the scale did not move this week. Could be worse. Totally excited b/c the new job has a fitness center, so I know that…

I tell them the truth. It is what it is. I make choices about what goes in my body, just as anyone else. I don't think that claiming a sensitive tummy, or that I have an allergy makes any sense, or whatever makes any sense. If they don't understand, they just don't.

Preface ... I eat a lot of salmon, so you'll see quite a bit of it. Salmon and grilled summer squash My version of a juicy lucy (turkey burger stuffed with goat cheese and chiles) over asparagus Yogurt and cilantro chicken over sauteed spinach Roasted veggies (made every Sunday to get me through the week the vegetables…

Share time!: I always have problems with the share part of this thread. Technically it is still my Saturday night, and I've been drinking a little bit. :drinker: I'm about to turn 29 and I'm rather excited about the pending anniversary of my birth. I feel like 2012 is all about transition and rebirth, and I think that…

There are plenty of free programs that will sync to an mp3 player. Search the interwebz for the programs. I know spotify will sync your music. Winamp should also be able to do it. Worst case scenario is you treat it like a flash drive, and copy the files to your mp3 player without the assistance of a program. I have an…

Sorry to hear that, Raven. Friday fitness: keep being active. I've noticed the more active I am, the more active I want to be, and that things don't hurt where they used to. Hopefully, I can get intervals in tomorrow before the weekend kicks off with visiting friends.

I have a ton of pics to post ... was doing a blog documenting everything I was eating for 30 days, but that fell off. You can see what I've been eating here (including cheat meals): http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/allyjoy83 I've been keeping up the documentation, just haven't been posting.

Honestly, how my teeth felt was one of the first things I noticed going paleo. My teeth feel soooooo much cleaner, and my gums are doing wonderfully (gum disease runs in the family, and mine were starting to become subject to it). I haven't been to the dentist since I started, but I have a sneaking suspicion that…

by the spoon ... with a little ( i do mean tiny) bit of honey. soooo ... good. Also, if you get a chance, try sunflower seed butter (SO GOOD!!!)

I'll add you. You can look at my diary. I stopped logging last week because my eating habits have become so regular, that it's more of a pain than anything. I do love to cook, though. But there are easy, easy recipes that take only 15-20 minutes if you plan ahead a little and require minimal effort. Dinner tonight took me…

I know that I've been slacking on the posting. I'm still working it out. I'm behind one day this week. I'll either make it up today, or I'll pick it up on Sunday since next week is a rest week. Doing plyo after intervals was a little over ambitious yesterday. But each day has its lessons. I haven't lost my motivation --…

Welcome Slim! Last week: 234.2 This week: 232.8 I know I should be happy because I was not the most responsible when it came to exercising this week (and I probably drank entirely too much), but I wanted to lose just a little more. All and all, still a successful week despite my failure to exercise.

I had some pimples here and there, but no rashes, but there was a patch on my chin where my skin would peel while the rest of my face was fine. I think it's just part of the process -- the body wigs out when you make it do things it's not used to doing.

If I'm low on calories for a particular day, I may pick something small and nutrient dense to push me up, such as a piece of dark chocolate or a couple of tablespoons of sunflower seed butter (my latest kick -peanut butter is the same) with a little honey. I get calories, protein, fat and carbohydrates, and it feels like a…

I know I've been MIA - the last week has had me really busy, and now I'm fighting a cold. Missed Monday and Tuesday's workouts, but back into it today. It's been a little rough, but I just need to press play.
-
@smithy - at least you're trying. The more stuff you try, the more chances you have for a healthy week. When we change what we eat, our palate changes with it, so continue to go back to things you "didn't like" and test your tastes for it as you progress on your journey. @gigi - take a look in your frozen food aisle for…

Glad to see everyone making progress (or not too far off track). Keep up the good work and stay motivated!

It's somewhere around twilight between Tuesday and Wednesday, so I'll do both. Goal: I've been battling a cold these last couple of days which has killed my motivation for P90x ... goal is to do my workout regardless of the runny nose. Got my walk in today, so not as far behind as I could be, but still behind. Wish: to hit…
