I Have tried every diet, I have tried eating healthier and have lost weight and gained it back, With MFP I have lost more weight than I have ever lost , feel great , and am more knowledged on calories of food. As I look back I know what foods I will never eat again..... Good Luck

I always use the number the machine at the gym says I burned, Sometimes it is over and sometimes it is under what MFP says. MFP does not account for any variations of speed you may do while working out........Also when looking for a generic food I always search for the one with the highest calorie count even though I may…

Thank to everyone for their input, Just wanted to make clear that I am not going up to complete strangers and telling them how bad the food they are eating is, only Immediate family and real close friends...........:smile:

Good point, I just recently quit smoking and I never gave a crap when people said how bad it was for me but people telling me only made me want to quit more..........

I have never counted calories in my life, and Have never lost soo much weight, counting calories does work!!!!!! As far as buying a scale if you do not buy a scale which I recommend buying , than buy a tape measurer so you can track your progress. Good Luck!!

Have you measured yourself? Sometimes you may not lose weight but you do lose inches.......Keep up the good work the lbs will come off !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do all the time, and like wise I would rather pass on the food than eat it, I used to eat Dairy queen twice a week and get a lg reeses cup blizzard until I looked up the calories and saw it was nearly 1,000. I would rather skip the ice cream than eat it and waste my time at the gym. The good thing though is you can warn…

Stretching is key to not being sore, Lactic acid is what makes you feel that way!! But Ice is what helps that. Keep up the good work!

I usually go in and start with some light weight lifting 3 sets of ten, then I do 20 to 30 minutes on the elliptical and then 30-40 min on the treadmill. I try to equal the two(Treadmill + elliptical) to 60 minutes.

It is def considered a workout, if you have a nintendo Wii there is a game called just dance 2 that my wife plays and I have tried it and would consider it cardio especially 20-30 minutes worth. Good luck!!

I usually notice if I do not go to the gym I do not lose any weight that day....But everybody is different so it may work.

Mine was in July, I was taking my son on an amusement ride with my wife and the safety would not close because I was too big, but I continued to gain until one day (10/18/2010) I stepped on the scale and weighed in at 309lbs. That was the day that I found MFP!!!!

OK I did not know what a kibe was so I Googled them, they look really good so I don't blame you. But on days where I eat too much I look at it as looking at the old you and realizing you do not want to eat like that. There was times before I started MFP where I was on a daily basis eating some 4 or 5000 calories a day.…
