Wow, this thread turned into a joke. Original Poster: I have the same problem with my grandpa. My grandma goes for walks everyday, even with her bad knee, but my grandpa refuses to do more than get up, turn on the Speed channel, and watch NASCAR. I have trouble motivating my mom too, who is more overweight than me and…

Try yoga. I have fibromyalgia so I understand the pain. Walking and yoga has really helped me. It hurts at first, but exercise can help slowly lower chronic pain.

I guess I wasn't that big on celebrating the 4lbs cause that was over six months, but you're right. And the treating myself is a good idea, if anything I could do something free to treat myself. Like borrow my mom's car and go see my best friend (my mom is always offering, best friend and I live two cities apart). Or on…

It's good to know I'm not alone in this. Sadly, next month when I see my psychiatrist I'm probably going to have to have my Zoloft raised (I've been on it for eight months, lowest dose, worked a while, but my panic attacks are coming back). But you are right, it's just a longer road. It's just getting down that road and…

It's actually as simple as finding an activity. When depressed (which is nearly daily) I write, just little stories and stuff. That way I do something that has a result, just like eating makes you feel full. I understand your issue. Mine's boredom, aside from clean the house I don't have much to do so I'd eat. Now I log…

I yo-yo'ed so much after the immediate weight of my gastric-bypass lost. I do understand. I'm going to send you a friend request. I best we can help each other!

I'm I guess what is now old school, PS2 being mainly. I'm a huge Final Fantasy fan! I'll add you.

I'm sorry, but if you don't accept the 18 other people in my head, I can't accept you. (haha, see that? played in my DID, go me!)

Hot affair, but you'd regret it in the morning. @PamelaKilgore (lol, I figured that since I'm bi, nothing on you)

Be too intimidated to really talk to her, then blurt out more than she wanted to know. @Oklahoma_girl (Also, yay! Oklahoma, I'm originally from Oklahoma.)

Wait, bed? I'd have to make it off the couch first. Wee for passing out! And kudos to my husband for somehow getting me into my pjs (t-shirt, soft pants, shorts in the summer) and then bed.

I'm 5' 11" and at 204 pounds. I'm currently a 14, pushing a 16. My goal is to be a 10/12.

I used to walk more often and plan to start it up again. I found what always helped me is music. Once I get dressed and put my earphones on, usually I have to move and it makes walking more fun. I don't go out on the cold/wet days either, sometimes I consider this my off day for exercise and other times I find something…

Great article! I have anxiety as co-morbidity to other mental problems (Bipolar, DID, PTSD). Most days I'm afraid to leave the house, which sucks cause walking is one of the few exercises I can do. I'm on meds (Zoloft), but we can't raise my dose high enough due to my Bipolar meds. Sadly, my therapy (which I'm thankfully…

I'm currently reading Sybil by Flora Rheta Schreiber. For those that don't know, it's the true story of a woman with Multiple Personality Disorder (now called Dissociative Identity Disorder). It's good, in parts horrifying, and in other parts a little slow.

Can a bisexual chick answer? Cause I like smart girls who have a lot of curves. My husband is attracted to beautiful smiles, smarts, and a dash of craziness.

Recieved: "TIP #1: It's time to think of your goals for the program. Write them down & keep them in view. Choose small goals to start & change them monthly!" (This is from the local weight loss program I joined.)
