My knees start hurting when my shoes are getting worn out. Could be your problem!
-
Finished W6D1 this morning- run 1/2 mile, walk 1/4, run 3/4, walk 1/4, run 1/2. It wasn't too bad! I'm hovering around 12 minute miles for my running segments. I'm okay with that. W6D1

Even at 7 am this morning, the heat and humidity was tough here. I imagine it is worse where you are!
-

No, I don't. I think the problem was the course was an out and back, slightly uphill out. My calves were fine on the downhill coming back.
-
I did w5d2 after work yesterday. It sucked. I had to stop twice to stretch my calves. I will be repeating this one- 2 runs of 3/4 miles with a half mile walk in the middle.
-
Adding 2.72 miles for couch to 5k yesterday. It sucked.

There are Tours in most states! I've ridden in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. I'm hoping to add New Orleans and Kansas to the list soon. Find a Tour Near You

I had not run since last Wednesday, busy weekend supporting the American Diabetes Association Tour deCure event. (I volunteer and ride!) Yesterday, I ran w5d1. It was 3 half mile intervals with 1/4 mile walks in between. I felt good, despite the high heat and humidity. Week 5 Day 1
-
Adding 2.83 miles for couch to 5k, week 5 day 1 yesterday
-
I rode a shorter distance in the this year's Tour deCure. That's probably a good thing, because I had two flats on my back tire (only carried one spare tube, so had to call SAG). This is my favorite shot from the day!
-
My grandson ran about 10 seconds, then complained. He's 10. His 5 year old sister didn't run at all and complained the whole time. :D
-
Adding 36.62 miles for Tour deCure ride on Saturday. Should have been 37 ish miles, but after my second flat, I had to catch a ride to the next rest stop for a spare tube.

I'm in for 250 this month.
