I rolled out of bed at 5:45 this morning to make it to a 6:15 class at the gym.

I finished the 5k this morning with more running than walking and only minimal rib pain. It's time for new running shoes.

I was just getting back into running a few weeks ago. Running on the indoor track at the gym and stubbed my toe. Pretty sure I cracked a rib when I hit the floor. It is still sore, but I think I'm past the point where I will injure it more by doing stuff. I registered for a 5k that was supposed to have been two weeks ago,…

My gym expanded the classes they are offering. I have done 4 classes this week. I am 15 lbs lighter than last year at this time with about 20 more to lose. I am really trying to be in decent shape for bicycling season.

I don't need much energy or strength to sit at a desk all day. I drink water or something throughout the day. That makes me feel fuller, I guess. I always eat something if I know I will be doing any type of exercise.

I've had decent success with a modified IF lately. I have iced coffee for "breakfast" then don't usually eat again until dinner time, unless I know I'm going for a run or bike ride. That being said, it's really all about calories in/ calories out. Good luck, you can do this!

Great job on getting started! Make sure you have good running shoes and slow down. You should be able to hold a conversation or sing a song while you are running. Keep up the good work!

Just popping in to say that even though I haven't been here in a while, I'm still moving. I didn't set a goal in September, just rode a lot. Here are the results. This is the most miles I've ridden in a month since I started keeping track in 2013.

Great job! Keep running!

I know nothing about gravel bikes, but I have an Orbea road bike that I love. I have a favorite local bicycle shop, that is great for servicing the bike. This heavily influenced my decision to buy Orbea. The custom paint sealed the deal.

My husband grilled some chicken breasts and we've been using that for a week for everything from quesadillas to fettuccine alfredo.

Have you been fitted for good running shoes?

Haven't settled on any in particular, but looking for a spring 5k.

Thanks! I modified this pattern to make the skull scarf: https://ravelry.com/patterns/library/lost-souls-skull-shawl I used one skein of "Shawl in a Cake" yarn which I found at Joann's. All the others are amigurumi. I have a love/ hate relationship with each one.
