Hopefully I can get back on board exercising again. Thank you for the prayers and kind word. My dad had a military salute today with an honor guard at the cemetery. I hadn’t really cried much until this occurred. My dad was so proud of serving our country. Tapes has always made me sad no matter where I am. It was a beautiful blue sky day after some horrible deep freeze and snow earlier this week. It is too soon here for this weather and we are still in leaf drop.

My poor old dog wasn't well this morning so I skipped my run and our morning walk. Fortunately she was better this afternoon so we took a 1 mile walk. 22/50

2.4 cold miles. The temp wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so windy.

I hadn’t realised I’d been MIA quite so much .... not a single post in November *hangs head in shame*
I need to put a wriggle on if I’m to make my target this month. I was seriously out of action last week - an ambulance trip and 3 days in hospital after a sudden bout of gastritis - in my favourite little cafe in town and I was sick and passed out with the pain! (They’ve forgiven me) We’re still not sure what caused the gastritis - but I got a very thorough MOT whilst I was held captive.

I am so sorry for your loss, but I'm so glad your Dad slipped away peacefully, and on his own terms. Your words were incredibly beautiful. I hope you find some peace in knowing how much you helped him. He will have been aware of the beautiful daughter he raised.
It's not easy losing a parent, no matter your age, so sending a big hug and thank you so much for sharing this part of yourself with us. We’re privileged.

I don't care where I am or what I am doing, if I hear TAPS, I am bawling like a baby.
