@clepant - How are you feeling?0

Hi Folks! I survived my fall. I applied ice immediately after instead of considering going to church. I also downed the ibuprofen. I was Pretty sore on Thursday and some on Friday but not as bad as I thought I would be. So, God was good to spare me too much pain. I also was planning a Celebration of Life at my church for my dad at my church Saturday. Lots of work. I also managed to not cry during my part of the program. The holidays are going to be tough. My dad and my hubby share the same birthday which is the 30th. Also, my dad was excited that I was cooking a turkey this year and was always my helper dicing celery, onions and cutting up bread. I will miss him, but I know that he is no suffering. What a rock, he was for all of us. On. A hood
@Anacondo.....I am so sorry that you are going through surgery again. You are in my prayers girl.
@Dean....God bless you for taking care of all those sweet creatures. Sorry you will miss Thanksgiving.
Here are some photos of our set up for our celebration. Merit came in her wagon and my pastor’s two sons asked if they could sit with her in the back of our church. She was the hit of the day.

@clepant - That was an amazing set up for a memorial. I’m sure you dad is proud of you. I would love to tell you “Give it time and the pain of his passing will go away.” However, that would be a lie. My father passed almost 30 years ago and I still miss him a lot. It gets easier to deal with, but the pain of their absence never goes away. You have my sympathy. I hope the Lord gives you the strength to turn the holidays into a celebration of his life and not just a memory of his passing.1

I give THANKS for this group! You are AWESOME & I hope your day was too! Our Thanksgiving day was to stay home & relax since we had our turkey day last Saturday. But we both have some sorta bug & have spent the day in either our recliners or in bed. We both HURT!! Ankles, Knees, wrists & elbows. Sure hope its a 24 hour bug & it is gone by morning!
I MADE myself go pedal 9.3 miles this evening.

I hope everyone who was celebrating Thanksgiving had a wonderful time. I had no sooner arrived in Florida than we flew back to be with my MOL. Lots and lots of city walking puts me at 63/50. Just arrived back in Florida and looking forward to getting some rest.
@anaconda469 - I hope the surgery is a success!
@clepant - it looks like a lovely celebration of life.0 -

CONGRATS to 2ESSIE for reaching GOAL!! :star;
Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Mine was low-key and quiet, but very nice. Didn't overdo it too much on the food and had two wonderful get-togethers with family.
