56.67 so far.
I did a 51-mile bike ride on Friday!! I couldn't quite make it all the way home, so my hubby came to the rescue and picked me up. This is a ride I've done once before about 3 or 4 years ago and was determined to do it this year. My updated profile pic is of me making it to my destination (Stewart Tunnel in WI).

@KAR328 - That is a hard blow to take when you get to know someone and work with them as much as you have. :-(( Sorry...
And sorry I didn't get on here to update yesterday, but things have been pretty busy lately! I had an absolute BLAST last Saturday leading a group of 750 riders doing the 100-mile leg of the ride! The course joined some of the other loops at various points as well so there were new people joining and leaving all along the way. The entire event had roughly 3500 participants.
Once I got done leading and then patrolling my group, I found a shady spot on the sidewalk about 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile away from the finish line. I parked the bike and cranked up the theme song to Rocky....you know, Eye of the Tiger....just about as loud as it would go without distorting and it was LOUD, I tell you! I stayed there for about 3 hours cheering and high-fiving the riders as they passed by!I HAD SUCH A GREAT TIME. Can't wait to do it again next year! It turns out that, unbeknownst to me, I had assumed the leader spot from one of our beloved HOG Chapter members that had passed away a few months back. It really moved me and made it even more special to have the opportunity and honor to carry on his role.
And I will apologize now...I was too busy driving my bike to take very many pictures.....but I did get a couple.
Hope you all had a great weekend!
