Had same issue with my son, we got him his own bed and decorated his room to his liking - he was still not sure, so we got him a night light that stays on (They do not freak out then when awaking and it is dark and lonely then). His dad sits next to his bed till he falls asleep (normally about 10 minutes) and then he is…

I can run again - the best feeling in the world - feels like freedom to be out running and enjoying it too! Oh, and shopping for clothes, I can take the ones that looks cute and not the ones that previously would have fitted only.

I had to switch to other form of exercise to get legs to recover after shin splints, try cycling or you might have to reduce on mileage. I was told by the doc that it is the surface and my type of shoe that caused it. I am not an expert - just what I was told at the time

I also do not mind in the least if someone comments on my weight loss, for me it shows I have worked hard - and it is not only me that realise it! I do appreciate it if someone compliments me on the loss! - It is not measuring my self-worth as some have implied - it is simply knowing that it is not only me seeing the…

1200 is very low - I have tried it, and felt deprived most the time, I also found that if I eat 1300-1400 - I still loose weight, not as fast, but it is maintainable. Just a thought. You are welcome to add me, I do have changes to make - like eat a bit more veggies, and try to drink water:sick: , but am trying!

Nooo, for me no excuses - it is so hard to get back up again if you let go - easier to push through and stay on track:flowerforyou:

My problem was that I could not say no and stop at any time for food. When my husband (Who does not pick up weight) ate something - I ate with him - all the time. I gained and gained - he did not. It was time to accept I do not have his metabolism - and frankly can not keep up eating like him.... Going MUCH better now - He…

My 2 cents.... Try to have some fruit on hand - apples works magic. Where you log just tea for lunch - then you can add a apple and not be as famished dinner time I understand your fridge space is a problem - that is hard, try some protein bars - they are always handy, and satisfy cravings (for me anyway!) The added sodium…

I got mine for Mothersday too - and I love it! If you are a goal orientated person - you will do whatever it takes to make your 10 000 steps daily...(running in the bathroom on one spot...hahaha!)

HAHA, My eldest brother used to fetch me from high school in his cycling shorts and t-shirt - very embarrassing when you are a teenager! He did it on purpose and made sure he climbed out of the car so everyone could see him in it. Now I do not see why it bothered me - it wasn't me who wore it in the first place...

Yup...

Do not starve yourself! This will not have good long term results - especially if you do your daily walk - you have to increase your intake, you are depriving your body of all the nutrients it needs to function properly. (I am not a specialist, this is just something I have learnt from my fellow MFP'ers)
