  • I had an omelette made with 2 whole eggs and 1 egg white, with spinach and low fat cottage cheese for breakfast about 4 hours ago. 2.1g Carbs, 19.9g protein 10g Fat. 201calories. It's nearly midday now and not hungry yet :-)
  • Me too! The last thing I want to do after work when it's raining and cold is go for a run! I just want to lie on the sofa and eat great piles of mashed potatoes and casseroles! Mind over matter, i'll just have to excercise first thing in the morning before i've had a chance to talk myself out of it!
  • I bought these last week because it was quicker than doing conversions every time! http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/groceries/index.jsp?bmUID=1366287852994
  • I would start by swapping crunchy nut cornflakes for either eggs and granary toast or porridge in the mornings. I find that most standard cereals fill me up for about an hour and i'm clock watching at my desk from about 9.30 until 12 when i can have my lunch! My favourite breakfast at the moment is 1 slice of granary toast…
  • Crikey - That's terrifying! 10 days? I may just choose celibacy!
  • I think i'll definitely take it out, not had any problems with it as such, but it would be interesting to see if there is any change to my skin/weight/libido etc. I can always have it replaced in a few months! In the mean time, I shall be having a definite discussion with "him indoors" about his options for the snip! Seems…
  • Lol, hmmm, I may suggest it! He's adamant he doesn't want kids, so maybe he should put his money where is mouth is!
  • I make up big batches of Tarka Dahl (kind of thick spiced lentily soup) and take it to work with me. So tasty and warming in the winter without being too heavy on the calories. Yum!
  • Rub with olive oil (teeny amount), salt, pepper and crushed juniper berries, then fry to your preference (pink!!) make a sauce using red wine, shallots and bluberries or blackberries, serve with celeriac mash and seasonal veg. Yum!
  • I make a yummy Sausage and bean casserole with mine, I had it last night, was sat down with a lovely bowl of it within 10 mins of getting in from work, bliss! This is my recipe for 3 people, but obviously you can multiply the quantities The beans need soaking overnight then boiling for a bit before you put them in the slow…
  • Something yummy with Goats cheese and figs and caramelised onions Gumbo Black forest trifle full cheeseboard and chutneys wine wine and more wine!!! :
  • That's exactly the reason i tried it, Beef n ale Casserole (nice as it is) was getting a bit dull!
  • Over the years i've found that the gym is always the first thing to go when money gets tight, so i stick to running, DVD's and mountain biking on weekends. I find its so much easier to stick to! I do however really miss the pool, and i want to start weight training, so it'll be interesting to see how i get on with that at…
  • Hi, I'm in Broadstairs, Kent, I log in every day, it really helps to keep me accountable! Friend request sent! :-)
  • Can you keep your cals low on your drinks tonight? Vodka lime sodas are my favourite! Other that that i can only suggest huge piles of low cal salads and glasses of water. Or just thinking sod it, and eating as you normally would for the rest of the day, and not doing the same tomorrow! I know how you feel though, i've got…

  • Lol me too! She is just too wonderful, i would quite happily live quietly in the corner of her kitchen basement, watching adoringly and eating all the leftovers!
  • Lol, it's not weird, makes perfect sense to me!
  • Highly recommend The Fault in our Stars by John Green. It's a teenage book really, but so beautifully and cleverly written. I curled up in bed one Sunday morning and read the whole thing in 3 hours. absoulte roller coaster of emotions. Wonderful!
  • I love curling up before bed with a good book! I am going through a period of re-reading some favourites at the moment, American Gods, by Neil Gaiman currently, then i think i'll read The Book Thief again. Definitely gonna read Will Self's latest one too after that, i loved The Book of Dave! Also, i know kindles are great…
  • I'm not! Not sure what my ratios are set as, because i can't find them, but pretty much just eat sensibly. I would be so miserable and hungry if i cut right down on carbs I had scrambled eggs on toast for breakfast, 3 hours ago and i still feel full now! :-)
  • I've had the Mirena for almost 10 years now (im just due to change it for the second time). During this time i have gained and lost and gained and lost about 30 pounds. I can't really attribute this in any way to the IUD, each time i've put on weight it's been because of my lifestyle, and each time i've lost it it's…

  • I cook most of our meals from scratch and am always trawling the internet for new ideas! I also always make extra as my hubby works away in the week and i wave him off on a monday morning with premade curries, casseroles, lasagnes etc etc. There is nearly always something random in there too that may not be easily…
  • Broadstairs in Kent! Feel free to add!
  • Cooked this yesterday, it's very tasty but doesn't quite maintain the shape of a standard lasagne!
